Maaaan I've just discovered this! How awesome is it??? Finally a prog-instrumental album that has some awesome and innovative sounds and stuff to it, not just guitar shredding. Lovin' it.
You'll get used to it. :/ I've come across so many bands that still to this day that haven't had the attention they deserve. Everyone is to concerned with staying in the mainstream. :|
Sure. There's Artifex Pereo, Goodmorning Gorgeous, Invent Animate, Divided by Friday, Life on Repeat, Now and On Earth, Too Close To Touch (fairly new and exquisite if I do say so myself) Constructing Infinity, Currents, Like Monroe, Wolves at the Gate, Alive Like Me, Brent Walsh 7 (solo album also vocals for I The Mighty), Palisades, Defeat the Low. Aaaaaaaaaaand I'll stop there because I feel like all that is a little overwhelming lol
this is beyond AMAZING! did working with sithu have an impact on the writing cause it sounds a little similar at parts. must know where all you guitar geniuses keep coming from...
Thank you for the praise, that really means a lot. I had actually written the majority of the material before contacting Sithu. However, I have been a fan of his for well over a year now and he certainly influences my writing- this along with his signature production sound will be where the similarities inevitably arise!
This stuff is special...bubble and Motion blur really hit it...good work Star Systems (hmmm you need a name dude...'Star' is OK but hey...you're the main man here, whoever you are!)
After I first heard this I spent about a month listening to it at least five times in a row, about 2 or 3 times a week... Now I wanna get back in the habit. So many moments in here that feel so profound among all the incredible playing. This has inspired my playing and writing so much (even my drumming as well as guitar playing - did you write those drum parts too, or was that part of Sithu's production? 'cause they're just so damn good!) Man, I hate you! XD
This is absolutely amazing.. not saying it needs vocals at all I think I actually would prefer it without, but could you imagine this music with Rody Walker's voice?(Protest the Hero) say what you will but I think a voice like his would suit this album so perfectly.
In Bubble I felt like I went from America, to Egypt and back to America, on to England and I think I'm in France now, or off the coast of California, wait wtf, where am I?
nice work dude! what software did you use for drums? Somehow Superior and other big software doesn't work on my machine, and i have no money, its very frustrating. This stuff withholds me from making own music :
Thanks dude. I know that Situ used Superior for the drum sound but I don't know how he made it sound so nice, I have Superior but I can never get it to sound as good as it sounds on here haha. Hopefully you will be able to sort your financial situation and stuff soon enough, good luck!
Hey dude, you can listen to it track by track on my SoundCloud page: soundcloud.com/starsystemsofficial or download it from my Bandcamp page (link in the description).
Bubble has some of the most fantastic melodic riffing I've heard in ages! So emotive and energetic, I'm in love.
Sithu Aye is a wizard. This EP is brilliant, and stands out even among the other great EPs from StarSystems
Siccckk \m/ I got happy when they featured sithu aye :3 the whole album is awesome really. I wish they were on spotify though
Both StarSystems EP are on Spotify!
I found them a few months back, thank you though :)
I was listening to this at work and when i heard the song featuring sithu ayes solo I already knew that was him haha
I will be buying both albums. Bandcamp FTW

15:36-15:55 WHY IS THAT THE BEST SOUND EVER CREATED?!
i like how its so ambient but has so much energy.
I love the sound of the snare drum. It's got a deep enough sound, but a great pop and resonance.
I just bought this on bandcamp because damn, this is too good not to buy. You got yourself a winner here man, keep up the good work :)
these harmonics 04:25 always been in my head. glad to hear it already
Easy purchase for me. Good job all around.

15:26 uhhh so good.
the beginning of "motion blur" reminds me of "bless this house" by Harry secombe... sick.

this is very enjoyable
14:45! Shivers!
Bubble's solo sounds kinda like if someone took the best parts of Sylosis's album "The Edge of the Earth" and put them in a djent blender.
15:34 This part is heavy af ! ;)
i had this playing in a background tab and had to say "who the heck is ripping off sithu's style" .. until i opened it up and saw it was
Bulb wants his Breeze back.
And i love it!!! 15:34 kicked my ass!!
More please!!
Epic! Congrats man!
Absolutely In Love With Your Music! Keep Creating!

No.
i wanna do some drum covers of this for shooore
Do it! :)
well now I definitely have to.
Any news on those drum covers? I'd be more than glad to watch it! :D
ohyes
End of Dreamscape reminds me of end of Time Piece by Helix Neb
what tuning is it... :D
i want to play this all my life.... :3
the intro to Venus reminds me of xenogears, but I don't know why.
Is the piano melody in Venus inspired by Mike Oldfield?
In Bubble I felt like I went from America, to Egypt and back to America, on to England and I think I'm in France now, or off the coast of California, wait wtf, where am I?
18:25 ♥
Amo esta mierda!!! ♥
