This takes me back to high school, smoking weed out my window in the middle of the night jamming to this entire album. Still love it, thanks for the memories Modern Day Babylon
Lmao Some fear factory and white zombie was my time for those days, but love the comment and this band, and this entire album is still on every playlist I got.
We listened to this one a long time ago and loved it. We shared on Facebook but no one cares Facebook's Memories remind us We come back and listen to this masterpiece every year in the same day, same month like a religious stuff
Speechless. Why did I never fully give these guys a shot in the past? Really driving me to be more and more open minded as I get older. I feel so satisfied within.
+Trevor Philips do you acutally meditate? I just started but i'm not that like involved yet is there any techniques you recommend? I also heard it can help shy people and introverts are there certain techniques in that?
You are quite a Djentleman, saw your comment but I can tell you personally that all these bands have one thing in common. Techno pantheism, nanotechnology is becoming the mark of the beast.
ChelseaGrinMan001 One great trick is to, with your eyes shut, watch your breathing as if it was a machine doing it independant of you. View yourself from the outside. Do this solid for 10 minutes, and see what your results are.
Yeah that is me, I focus on my health and take it pretty seriously. Funny thing is about 10 years ago I was almost 400lbs and totally out of shape. I came to a turning point in my life and have not looked back since....I focused on Education, Exercise, nutrition and my unstoppable desire. Through it all I found who I really was and this is what emerged. Thanks for the compliment!
Jody Hughes I applaud you good sir, I love hearing about people like you who just totally turn their lives around! I am getting started pretty young on fitness and nutrition (18yrs), and I am going to stick with it for as long as I live. Congrats on your sick progress be very proud!
Circling back on this stuff almost a decade later and it hasn't aged somehow. Watching your playthroughs back in the day was the best unintentional skervesen ad ever (not too dissimilar to Chris Letchford putting Strandberg on the map). Early 2000s was an insane time for this genre, only a few years after obzen planted the seed for everyone.
Hope so, cuz if UA-cam yanked it I'd be effin pissed. I have not heard anything by this project I don't like...fully admitting that I'm partial to fretboard acrobats and writers with one or more prime numbers in the numerator (s, in case polyrhythms) of time signatures... I wonder what would happen when a computer puts a complex number into a denominator of a time signature and squares it after making it negative first. An odd number of dimensions could yield interesting results even if one is only temporarily emergent to the operation.
You know, I keep listening to this album(over the last few years), and can't help but think it's one of my favorite instrumental albums of all time. It's so beautiful, melodic, and brutal heavy at times, but never looses focus. Every song has memorable parts, that stick with you through the song. Awesome job.
this album makes me feel like im living life, this album is out of this world awesome, i sent this to a friend of mine, and thanked me on his knees for sending this to him, no joke
This is fucking amazing. This with the deep cave ambiance of Starbound in the background is the best combination of music and video game ever fucking imagined.
5:30 and 26:19 are my favourite moments on the entire album. There is so much emotion and melody that contrasts with the darkness of the majority of the album, it gives me goosebumps every time.
Some solid dent here. The part that sticks out to me most is the ambience. Absolutely amazing. I can tell you guys had a sound you were going for and fuckin nailed it.
This has to be one of my favorite progressive metal albums of all time... very few albums get the perfect balance of beautiful melodies and heavy, crushing riffs... but this album just does. Insane piece of art
The thing I love most about this is how it chugs yet still remains to be innovative and very technical. Beautiful artwork indeed and props to the guy who made this!
please don't thank god for youtube... the internet is straight up evil on its own without specifically a video hosting website recievibg praise. this website is disgusting along with what it promotes. however these guys??? are fucking epic. so is intervals. invite you to check them out. and substructure, and Chemically Continued
***** NO. i HATE that word. it implies tradition and expectation and i feel like that word better describes a cult than a form of belief. I believe that Jesus is my saviour and the bible is the best option we have to understand who and what He is. and through this quest and through this path of discovering "truth" i realised how evil the internet is. especially youtube. if your honestly curious... the problem is our kids today are being raised by the media. youtube is raising your child. Free access to ANY information on the planet with NO restrictions starting when they can work a i phone. its disgusting. these kids are growing up thinking that the crazy and sinfull of the world are whats expected of them to fit in. as this trend continues through time, we will see a speedier and speedier degredation of society. All brought about through propaganda, lies, deception, and FREE INSTANT MEDIA ACCESS ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET>
haha grow up catholic?? your experiance with christianity isn't everybodys... i used to play bass for a touring christian rock band. i'm 24. we've played with demon hunter, decyfer down, seventh day slumber, ALMOST RED... point is... i've SEEN God work, i've seen things happen, little things that seem wierd at first and then ultimately a purpose for us being broke down in THIS spot would arise.. just saying bro. people are not stupid, Nobody. and everyone chooses different paths. I bet i could prove to you the bible is true Just in its end time prophecy if nothing else... don't discredit me because i believe in jesus , i don't need your approval. you need Jesus' approval. lol
ShatterBassMan I like your perspective on your discipleship. I think it might be a bit harsh to label religion as cultish, but I can totally relate to what you say about Jesus being your savior. I wouldn't label myself a "Christian" because these days the persona of Christianity is so skewed the public immediately labels them as kool aid drinking lunatics. There's historical proof that Jesus walked this earth, and whether or not He is the Son of God is a whole other debate, but I'm on your side here man. Stay strong!
I saw these guys open for The Algorithm last night in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and they kicked serious ass! It's a shame more people weren't there for that all-ages show, but Monday was a holiday here, and I think most people were wiped out & broke from the long weekend. I hope that doesn't discourage them (or The Algorithm!), from coming back here!? Anyway, I got a few pics and Vines which I'll post later. Not the best quality, but it's the best I could do at the time. I really wanted to get one of their oversized colour shirts, but I just couldn't afford it. I strongly suggest catching them on this tour of you can. You won't be disappointed!
A couple years ago, my road dog and I went up to a mountain near our city and dropped a couple gel tabs. The sun came up just as we started coming down and this album came up. Listening to Infinity as the first rays of the sun beamed through the clouds into the lake, still kinda tripping...absolute fucking perfection. Edit: it was Infinity that made that was playing when the sunbeams were happening. Majestic was when the sun was just peeking up over the horizon.
Idk how you could say intervals sucks....i mean, its not like they are super crazy technical or anything but they are pleasent to the ear. epiphany is a good song
MALKton these "GUYS' are actually one guy named tomas who writes and produces what you hear. intervals and MDB can not be compared in any way at all. two totally different sounds.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM !!!!! FOR ONCE no guy screaming and killing the awesome guitar play and riffs, U guys are AWESOME !!!! Keep it up !!!! If u guys do decide to have a singer, please dont let him/her be a screamer, nothing worse !!!
-scrollin through youtube -listening to metal bands - clicks on link expecting gay band - shits pants - owes apology - cleans up shit with favorite shirt out of respect...
Just when I thought prog-metal couldn't get anymore derivative, this guy comes...and blows me away. Fuck this is good. We need more people staying fresh like this.
Love how metal is moving towards instrumental tracks. fucking awesome
And they always seem to be getting better in a technical sense!
Technical isn't always better
+Stephen Jessop True, there is just something beautiful about the raw power of Pantera or Machine Head that cannot be improved on.
***** Exactly
+韓瑞克 i love instrumental music and is refreshing to hear it in metal
This takes me back to high school, smoking weed out my window in the middle of the night jamming to this entire album. Still love it, thanks for the memories Modern Day Babylon

The riffing that begins at 4:20 is some of the very best riffing I've ever heard! PERIOD!!!
Speechless. Why did I never fully give these guys a shot in the past? Really driving me to be more and more open minded as I get older. I feel so satisfied within.

I found a new way to meditate through the power of djent.
Veil of maya, Maya in their language is the word used for evil which literally means illusion.
Born of Osiris obviously with their lyrics.
Trevor Philips Djentology!

The whole CD had me travelling through the universe of my mind contemplating my own existence. I dig it.
This SHOULD have a million views.
This MUST have million views.

It really was. Totally my favorite genre and I look forward to being an old geezer embarrassing my grandkids with my transcendent music.
So sick, fantastic job man, incredible production. You're a great composer!

God damn, I love Infinity
Love that Cameron Gray artwork
Definitely best part of the album 22:51. SOO EPIC.
truly mindblowing!
5:30 and 26:19 are my favourite moments on the entire album. There is so much emotion and melody that contrasts with the darkness of the majority of the album, it gives me goosebumps every time.
I'll throw 32:08 in with those as well.
You mean the whole thing?...
Damian Conde You have a point.
I know it's catchy and all but dat riff from 23:46 ... I could freak the fuck out (actually I am :D)
When the first 8th-string open note rang in Differentiate, the tone of it made me go all Antonio Banderas GIF. My mouth literally watered.
This is one of the most Epic creations ever engineered by mankind.
This is explicit instrumental rage at its finest!
Your song "Travelers" just got me through a rough day. keep it up! this whole album is musical genius incarnate
Some solid dent here. The part that sticks out to me most is the ambience. Absolutely amazing. I can tell you guys had a sound you were going for and fuckin nailed it.
djent*
the riffs on Lost in Dreams ruptured my spine
Bigglesworthicus are you still recovering, bro-heem?
Masterful Jakub Zytecki does it again. That dude never writes a bad solo.

There are VERY FEW instrumental albums i can listen to forwards and back and enjoy every song...this is definitely one of them though
Thanks a lot for creating this album man. It really helps me a lot listening to it while studying.
very nice. thanks you guys!!!!
This band is absolutely beautiful!!
The thing I love most about this is how it chugs yet still remains to be innovative and very technical. Beautiful artwork indeed and props to the guy who made this!
