I took 2 dogs out of the dog pound in 2021, One in July from Carson, and one from Castaic CA, I had bought one Dec 2020, but felt he needed 2 buddies. The three of them all are great together.

In Germany my mom in law wanted to adopt a dog during the Covid time. She is a former dog trainer and had 2 dogs that passed 4 years ago due to long age. Well in 2020 she was ready to have a new one and everyone told her no, as she is an elderly person and the demand was so high that the shelters did not allow older people to adopt. We the discussed that she has so much time and experience (she would be open to a problematic dog) and she would keep it. Well now young people are returning their dogs as they don't have time anymore...
My neighbor has 17 plus cats the females that are able to breed are either pregnant or becoming pregnant, one of her female cats had kittens under my car she then abandoned the kittens rinsed and repeating. I’m sick of their pee everywhere their poop. You guys are more than welcome to come catch and take them all. We’re infested with cats!
Who ever had my 2 dog pound dogs before they were at the dog pound was not nice to them, they werent fixed, and you can tell they had been abused. So if you cant love and train and play and feed your dog good, you do not need a dog. My dog pound dogs are great, with all the love they get, they will over come their past bad owners.

Dogs are very low maintenance especially if they have a another dog for company, the problem is I think it’s a housing crisis, people can’t find homes that allow pets. If you want to help animals please rent your properties to pet owners. You can ask for a floor deposit if you’re worried about the floors getting ruined.

I have 2 "DPD's" "Dog Pound Dogs" and yes they are the best, my male Red Healer mix save my life by taking a rattle snake bite to protect me, I also have a female Blue Healer mix. I only adopt NEVER buy a dog! The problem is we need to make it mandatory to Spay and Neuter, and make it jail time for not doing so, also outlaw ALL Backyard Breeding again with jail time! Thanks
