Many Ford Puma owners (the original) have spat at this new suv and all agree it is not worthy of the name! As for heritage, the new Puma has no connection to its roots: the s1400, s1600 rally cars or the Ford racing Puma what so ever. Shame really but the legacy lives on I suppose
Have the first edition x 155 and what a great car it is and it shifts for a 1-litre car. Had fast cars in the past, Subarus UK version and a Japanese import that did 0-60 in lower 4 seconds and it was great fun. However (maybe an age thing) but this is the best car I have driven. Leather/cloth bucket seats which is very comfortable and the Bang and Olufsen sound system well you can't get any better.
Took a test drive earlier in the year of one from the local Ford Dealership and was amazed by it's nippy performance from such a small engine (which is aided by the 48V electric motor), practicality and ease to drive - even for a small person like myself as steering wheel/seat is fully adjustable! Not bothered about the lack of rear seat space as I will only be carrying one rear seat passenger, which will be my mother when I take my elderly parents on trips out. Got a Puma ST-Line on order to replace my 2017 KA+ (which has served me well over the last 5 years but the lack of boot space and the lack of power on hill climbs was the reason to go for the Puma for my next new car) and should receive it by Christmas 2022!
I’ve had my Vignale 155bhp for 6 weeks & it’s the best car I’ve owned. Previously owned a 1.6 Zetec S Fiesta & this tops that. Incredibly comfortable and easy to drive. I think it looks fantastic too - I’ve got 19” wheels as an option … Not too bothered about lack of space in the back as I rarely have passengers in the back. The boot is one of my favourite things as you have carry a lot of stuff in it and it doesn’t roll around and back a noise as it would in a standard boot
I've spent last month searching for a small car for my family. I had my test drive yesterday. So far THE BEST of the smallest crossovers. great boot space and configuration! lot of space in the back... places for kids water bottles (yes, it's not obvious). front and rear parking sensors, great camera (yes, both are also not so obvious). two weak points: it's noisy (but unlike Kamiq, it's engine noise, not a body noise, so MAYBE some additional work under the bonnet with some mats could solve the problem), you got everything on the steering weel, so buttons are really small. SMALL. You don't have armrest at the back? you are correct, but at least you have a space for a water bottle in the door pockets (unlike Kamiq). This is the only small crossover that I enjoyed to drive with my family. We are just waiting for automatic transmission in the mid of 2020. Oh BTW, the doors cover the entire side of the car. THANK YOU FORD!

I was behind a new Puma yesterday at some traffic lights. It’s no surprise there’s that deep box in the boot; the sill was (almost) level with my eye line!
Unless there was an embargo , i guess this video was released at midnight to coincide with What Cars 'car of the year' awards a few hours earlier & surprisingly the Puma is the best of them all ! , well at least it is a vast improvement on the previous model , the Ecosport which got 2 stars out of 5. No doubt it will be the best seller in its class in the UK , despite the bug-eyed headlights !.

Had my Ford Puma st-line x for a month now. While I like the styling of the car very much, I am wondering if there is a design fault with the back doors? ! Road grit and soil are on the inside of the door sills, seem to be thrown up from the back wheels

This car always turns heads on the road, the ST Line X in Desert Island looks the best, think there will be a nice looking Green Colour for the ST model later this year, that looks good too.

This design would have been incredible on a hot hatch. I don't like suvs but this looks great (in a "missed opportunity" sort of way). SUV people will probably love these though.
it's been 2 year and I still not used to how Puma looks, for general people who keep buying suvs for it's practicality I'm sure they can see the appeal but for me who grew up with Fiesta, Focus and other hatchbacks the Puma look bloated...it's trying to look like suvs but not quite there yet. Judging from the sales people in general is fine with it but for me I'm just gonna stick with my Mk7 Fiesta.

Why the comparison with the T-Roc throughout? This is comparable to T-Cross with the forthcoming Kuga comparable to the T-Roc???

This car always turns heads on the road, the ST Line X in Desert Island looks the best, think there will be a nice looking Green Colour for the ST model later this year, that looks good too.

Had the eco sport before this it’s lovely to drive

This design would have been incredible on a hot hatch. I don't like suvs but this looks great (in a "missed opportunity" sort of way). SUV people will probably love these though.
it's been 2 year and I still not used to how Puma looks, for general people who keep buying suvs for it's practicality I'm sure they can see the appeal but for me who grew up with Fiesta, Focus and other hatchbacks the Puma look bloated...it's trying to look like suvs but not quite there yet. Judging from the sales people in general is fine with it but for me I'm just gonna stick with my Mk7 Fiesta.

Are you gonna stack up some cash in that boot space for spare wheels? Will this run like Puma on flat tyre?
I like my ST-Line Puma, it replaced a 2016 Focus.
If you want boot storage, buy a Honda Jazz with magic seats. That will beat any other car for boot space including the Ford Puma.
