I really don't remember it like this! Maybe these raw audio files got modified a bit in the engine itself? If you look at actual gameplay, it doesn't sound like this...
I'm one of those fans who hasn't forgotten Killzone after all these years. Nice job getting these! I hope you do the voices from KZ2, including Radec during the final fight (a lot of his lines can't really be heard over all the gunfire, if I can remember).
I'll see what I can do, but I can't guarantee anything. I'm working on ripping the weapon sounds from the first game as well. I just wish there wasn't so much copyright protection on the newer games. It makes it so complicated.
Allison! I hope you are still there because I have some great news for you! I found the raw Radec voice files from KZ2. After weeks of exhaustive research, I was finally able to crack the ISO wide open. The only problem is that a lot of the files have what I like to call "processing clicks" which need to be removed from the beginning of each track. I'm going to try my best to fix everything up and upload the raw voices. However, if you want something along the lines of the raw files yourself, I can zip them up and send them to you.
The only one I noticed you missed is when the Helghast says "What the hell?!" After being spotted in game. Good effort though. Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for the upload, i'm currently making a voice advisor mod for Stellaris for the Helghast and I think I will use some of these lines as well. I currently was able to cut some voice lines from the Visari and Jorhan Stahl propaganda sound files which work pretty well. How were you able to access the files? by opening the .pkg files of the game?
I extracted them from their original containers and converted them into a listenable format. When you say you cut files, are you talking about the actually cutting the files or simply downloading the videos already out there and cutting them up?
@@DBWave94 I downloaded the youtube videos of both the Visari and Jorhan Stahl propaganda videos that are already uploaded (since those are the only sources I can get online) and then cut the sound files and edited them into a useable format with sound editing software.
@@daresios1087 Killzone 1 and 2 Helghast, soon to get 3 as well. Visari, Stahl, Radec, etc. All the individual tracks. No popping or hissing, no effects, just raw sounds. How they were intended to be listened to.
I've been working on a Killzone 1 inspired FPS/replica for a bit more than a year, I'm planning to use your Hig sounds in it. The game will be free, I'll give you credits in the game if that's ok?
Gad to help, buddy! I don't need any big credits or anything like that because technically they're not my recordings, lol. But if you want you can! Just keep in mind that the ones from the link came out weirdly high pitched so you'll probably have to pitch shift them down by two semitones to get an accurate Hig voice.

If you've used audacity to change the voices speed, you can change the multiplying factor to 0,630 and the change percentage to -37,000. That way it will sound close to the original.
With the use of several programs. I won't take credit for writing them because I'm no coder, but I'm pretty confident in understanding as to how they function. Patience is key.

The PS2 had a special sound chip in it that played sounds at different frequencies causing the low/high octave effect.
