- Review of the safariland 6378, ALS Concealment Paddle and Belt Loop Combo Holster.
Its decent for what it is and as far as retention i think it is way better than blackhawk as it has the front post as the locking point instead of the trigger guard.
Good for open carry, yard work, hunting, etc.
not really good for concealed carry.
buy it off my amazon link

It locks onto the ejection port. Not the sight.
thanks for that
@@Thebarbariandad got you bro, they’re hands down the best holsters available for owb. I’ve been using one for about 2.5yrs for edc and duty. Check out the als guard, it’s really neat
He talks about OWB being unsuitable for concealed carry. An ALS is not the most concealable, however there are many acceptable OWB holsters, you just need an cover garment. BTW you also need a cover garment for IWB or AIWB. This guy seems quite inexperienced. He was also wrong about the security aspects of this holster. Security is provided by a locking device on the ejection port, not the front sight, which would be ridiculous! 🇺🇸👮🏻♂️👍🏻
Made in Mexico? Me no like, but hell, everything else is made and China with a made in USA label 😂
@@CompanyHaze I love safariland stuff though. Their coms are awesome
Can you wear it so we can see how it looks???
This design is excellent, and retention is outstanding. However, I find the thumb release to be very finicky and inconsistent. Mine works correctly when it wants to. I do not trust it for a carry holster.
Actually aside from safariland, blackhawk is the only other Federally approved holster.. so yeah. They've upped their game and have released some great holsters.
I run the non light Omnivore, I like it alot but this Safariland got me interested.
My blackhawk isn't dangerous, I am 😈🔥😆
Will This Work For A Glock G26 9mm Gen5 ???
Price ???
It Locks Onto The Ejection Port & NOT The Front Sight...
Yes it should work but I don’t know the model, I paid 50 on Amazon
I've carried my Safariland with the belt-loops, & with the paddle OWB concealed no problem. Just have to dress for success. You are incorrect, this holster is designed for safe concealed & open carry. I do agree that open carry in the general public is not safe. Besides it makes the armed citizen a target, and lessens his/her capacity as an asset. Imho, your reveiw came across as incompletely researched, as well as biased due to "buyer's remorse". I hope you don't take offense to that, but use it as a point if reflection. Other than that, thank you for the time you did put into this review, and for all your efforts on behalf of the armed citizen community. Best regards.
Guess we have to agree to disagree. Owb is crappy for concealed carry. Thanks for leaving your thoughts
@@Thebarbariandad
What is crappy is closed-minded little know it alls, who hide behind pathetic little platitudes like, "I guess we'll have to agree to disagree", and then continue to act like the final authority on a topic. Come to think of it, Barbarian is the perfect name for you. I am certainly glad I never had the misfortune of subscribing to your channel. I happened upon this post looking for a review on another Safariland holster, at least now I know better.

@@Thebarbariandad so basically a guy calls you out for your BS and you stop him from responding? What a tool.
If you're going to do reviews, then you need to know what you're talking about. Which based on this video you don't. Then whenever someone tries to correct you, you become a Karen....and silence them.
You should change your name to "the uninformed beta dad".....based on your Karen characteristics in your lack of knowledge over something that you can easily do an internet search over. 😏
I know I won't be able to respond to this as you will ghost my responses.... But just know you just showed the whole world what you really are.
Tony, you nailed it. I admire how respectful you were at addressing the garbage dribbling out of his c-dump. He's the type of individual who has no formal training or experience outside of his CCW class..... Yet thinks he's an expert. Most likely doesn't do jack as far as training. His favorite weapon is the G19 based simply on the fact that what everyone told him to go buy. Sees himself as a wannabe hero, yet would most likely piss himself the moment he got thrusted into a real world situation.
I see boys like him all year long come into our classes.
Does yours (g19/23) fit the g17 or g34?
Should
Good review. Had me laughing that you know Xmas is pagan.
Stay safe.
A spade is a spade. Glad I could brighten your day.
Are you able to where it around the house/property in athletic shorts and it stay on well without saggin?
no if you want to do that check out the cross breed belly band review i have
I am so sick of people like you running your mouth about Blackhawk serpa holsters. Just because you may not be intelligent enough or safe enough to properly utilize them doesn't mean the product is unsafe. It's called training, if you do enough training you develop muscle memory. The holster is legitimately designed so your trigger finger ends up on the frame of the handgun. I've used one for open/duty carry for years. Pulling during numerous high stress situations, I have yet to have an ND.
So just stop with the misinformation.
black hawk sucks dude and thats my opinion. My thoughts stand
@@Thebarbariandad you are more than welcome to have your opinion. But don't confuse your opinion as a fact. Nor push it as one.
You are the individual that instructors such as myself absolutely cannot stand.
Can you do different attachments
I dont know tbh
no. need to get the 637x or 639x series for light or rds
