      Don't be too hard on yourself. It took me a good while to feel more comfortable with wire when I first started. And believe me, I still damage a LOT of wire these days. Art is one big learning curve I believe x

    Would there be an easier bail to make for this beautiful pendant? TIA.

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  Рік тому

      You could just create a simple figure of eight weave going straight up rather than flaring the bail wires out. That will make it easier to shape. Hope this helps :)

  • @edmooreii5495

    This is beautiful! Would 28 gauge weaving wire work also or would it be too flimsy?

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  3 роки тому +1

      If you are going to use 0.3 mm (28 ga) wire you would need to reduce the size of the base wires to make the loops more compact if that makes sense. In essence you could, but it would definitely be less sturdy and likely bend out of shape if dropped.

    Thank you so much! Could you please advise how one can do the same with an undrilled cab?

    • @ImbaliCrafts
      @ImbaliCrafts  3 роки тому +1

      To set an undrilled cab it would have to be an entirely different design as there would have to be a frame of sort to seat the stone in then capture the stone with either prong setting or wires running over it to hold it in place. Then you could attach the sunburst to that frame to get the same effect. Hope that helps :)

    • @aratiraomusic

      @@ImbaliCrafts yes, thank you very much, will try this idea! I live in India. Haven't yet found a top drilled cab source. I'll keep looking. Thank you for your generous and clear tutorials. I'm very grateful 🙏🙂

      Hi there. I have actually got a PDF tutorial with this weave and several other weaves and stone setting techniques in my Etsy shop: Here is a link :)
