One important thing is there is no need or purpose to drain any power steering fluid. No, or hardly any fluid comes out when you remove either the inflow side or outflow side. Also, it is way more important to change the inlet O-ring with the one 10mm bolt seeing as the air is getting sucked into the pump past that O-ring. I used a 3" offset 10mm box wrench and it easily fit in and no need to remove the belt. Thanks for the video!
I replaced both O-ring on my 2005 Acura MDX and there’s no need to drain the oil however I empty the reservoir and put new fluid. Thank you so much for the video It was very helpful.
Awesome, Thanks. I had the same problem and followed your instructions and it worked out fine. I bought the o rings and oil as a bundle ($19.99). By the way they wanted to charge me 475.00 for a pump, that's why I tried your technique , again, thanks a million for the savings.
Thank you for the video I had the same issue and I appreciate you showing the issue hard to find videos that show the before and after sounds/ running car
I replaced the PS pressure hose line this weekend, it was in really bad shape and a pain in the rear to remove it, and I ended up with that horrible sound, so thanks to your explanation I only have to replace the rings the ones that came with the new line, I didn't get the OEM part it was way too expensive. Thanks, bro for the tip!!
Mines makes a funny noise almost like a suction noise it’s not like the one you demonstrate it’s more like a doont dooont dooont it only does it at acceleration from the stop any idea what that is and the break sometimes kinks up
