Nelly rules 🤟🏼. I love to travel to magical London with your videos Si. That first image, I took a screenshot… 😍, the music, the band. And your adventures with good pals, the smiles… Beautiful art as usual. Thank you 😄✨✨
Pearly Kings and Queens, Buskers ever Keen, lots to see, lots to set free. from Thames mud to Si-finds, Coin King, m'lud. Thanks for the wonderful Sunday morning, give Nelly a scratch from me xx
Even after years of mudlarking, old man River Thames keeps giving and giving. Ps. Thank you for giving a ‘pieces-of-eight’ lesson. A priceless new year’s gift!
I'm always excited when it's a Sunday as our Si finds finds all kinds of bits and pieces of all kinds. All treasures of the Thames . Love to see your all your finds brought back to life Si and I love how you created the detail on the coins. Hello beautiful Nelly. Seeing him makes my day 💕 And the pearly Kings and Queens and buskers. Wonderful. 🐈⬛🐈
Always look forward to your videos on Sunday. if you decide to do more coins, my suggestion for more control would be to double side tape the coin to a scrap piece of wood so that you have a larger area to grasp. Thanks for sharing!!
Great finds! Thanks for bring us along. It’s fascinating how you guys use a metal detector successfully in an area so riddled with bits of metal. Clearly, y’all have found the perfect recipe for adjusting your settings to have such success in the area along the Thames. Well done!
Wonderful video and really enjoyed seeing how you engraved the coins. Such a great way to repurpose them. They would work well as keychains or necklaces. Loved seeing Nelson make an appearance please give him a hug and a cuddle from me. Have a great week and please keep safe. ❤️🇨🇦
Hi Si, u know the anchor means hope& our state of Rhode Island has hope as it's state motto! Very nice engraving! I need lloyds/ coin rings vlog name again. Ty, Tina
Hello Si, did you know that the movie “Mary Poppins” has a Pearly band in it? It does, so Disneyland also has a “Pearly Band” as well. Since Disneyland was Walt’s park, he wanted his park to have authentic entertainment, that was representative of the real London and the era for “Mary Poppins”. Thank you for sharing all the history and such, your videos are so much fun! -Maggie
Si your so clever, what a cool idea. I actually have a coin necklace from my home. I wear every day. Its not etched on, its actually been cut out around its pattern
I love the coins they look nice great workmanship Simon diamond you stay blessed I enjoyed the show and I'll see you on your next one happy New Year👍🍺🍺
I have a US silver 50 cent piece that was cut into a Jeep Pendant. Got it for Christmas last year to go with my Jeep Rubicon. Your videos are awesome. Fun to watch and love the history you share. I think the Thames River mud larking is on my bucket list!!
In the USA we had a tradition of "Hobo Nickels" made by Depression era itinerants. Typically they were buffalo 5 cent pieces with the buffalo altered into an elephant and the indian head made into a sad clown... many variations
Well done Cuffs! I do love the Rose farthing 🌹 Si, you had a wonderful day! ☀️ - people you met and buskers you chipped in for 💙 Wow! & you did well on the coins! hello from Denmark 🌸❄
Perhaps setting and old mat down so the coin doesn’t move around so much in the beginning. Like you would while chopping on a cutting board. Very artistic! Sir, you are certainly a great chap saving those from the scrap yard. 👏👏👏
Nice video today. Glad to see Cuff again. Also Nelson at the end of the video. Thanks for the great video. See you on the next! Cheers Simon! 🏴🙂👍🇺🇸
Love that buskers music, make good theme music for your channel! I'm sure its just me, but your theme music gives me same feeling as scratching nails on blackboard! Haha! Nice video!
Ahh those reminded me of hobo nickels (coins) ! Fantastic job ! I love trains ,graffiti, & monikers on them that's probably how I knew about them. Reading up about the train hobos.
You need to make some of those coins with your UA-cam or email address on them and when people find it they can contact you. That would be so much fun! Another Great video! Loved it
Hello 👋 from New York USA you guy's found some amazing finds Thank you for bringing me along with you guy's on you're adventure I can't wait to see what you find next 😀 😊
Awesome as Always. Thanks Simon, for all the fun and inspiration, while gaining interesting info. I like your unique coin art too. Hook up a sewing machine peddle to a motor that you can plug the dremel into. That way you can control the speed using the foot peddle, giving much better, smoother results. The motor is about the size and shape of a pint jar and hangs from the ceiling, so when you plug the dremel into it, it's out of your way.
Pieces if eights and whole eight reales have been found in the states as well. Along with pisterines, Cobbs, gold coins of all kinds. But to be able to hunt the thames is just a dream! Well done guys from across the pond!
As you know, coins aren't usually my thing, but if I had the chance of finding one of your beautiful creations I'd definitely get a detector! 😍 Stunning - I love them!
Just love your video's Si and loved what you did to those coins....... it seems you can put ur hand to anything crafty it's amazing....as always huge huggles from Scotland 🏴🤗🏴🤗
I found the bit about the Pearlies interesting. Here on the Northwest coast of North America pearl buttons were a popular trade item. They covered their trade blankets with crest designs done in mother of pearl buttons and wore them in ceremonial dances. The native people still do this. The dance blankets are quite stunning when seen danced in the fire light at a native potlatch.
Always a Sunday treat. Many thanks. I know you use a dremel, have you ever thought of using one of those nail polishing kits. Lots of lighter attachments
I'm surprised the sax and tuba player weren't arrested as superspreaders ! A " Daisy " button 17th/18th C . Nice spoon head . I have a slightly later 17th C one that came out the mud of Amsterdam in mint condition. Rose marked so exported from London to Holland . Like the late hammered stuff and farthings were privately made by Lennox and Richmond ( who produced the Rose farthings ) they have a brass wedge when in good condition .
Nelson! So glad when you give him camera time! Looks like you & Cuffs had fun. Your upcycle was fabulous. When y'all are out mudlarking, how many other people are out on the foreshore?
Thanks for watching Mudlovers! 👍🏻🐾🧡 For more muddy madness click this ⭐️ua-cam.com/video/dZxwCffKpNE/v-deo.html⭐️

Cool idea. Thanks!
@@Sifinds , That's the way my late husband hooked it all up. One of the (suspended, cylindrical motor) brands he used was (FOREDOM), if that helps.
Pieces if eights and whole eight reales have been found in the states as well. Along with pisterines, Cobbs, gold coins of all kinds. But to be able to hunt the thames is just a dream! Well done guys from across the pond!
