311 kph = 193 mph... wow! That is really moving for a 997.1 C4S. I also have a 997.1 C4S for 15 years now and still love it! No plans on selling either, this is a really special generation 911.
what an outstanding tailor-made super sports car!! max my man I'm all about the tuned Porsches but Ruf is not really a tuner to me. since 1984 when I started following them and fell in love with everything about the family and company. this is so tasteful yet its balanced. Alois builds a car with everything done that is needed to give its owner a complete EXPIRIENCE. these kompressor's are rare compared to models that were turbocharged. this is a stunning car, it must have been such a delight to drive. I don't think you can get a better performance car than a Ruf whether its a Porsche or especially a carbon tube non-porsche they are all outstanding are are built for people who are going to use like the Porsche gods and the Ruf family intended. driving nirvana!!
If only it was a couple instead of a convertible, hell, even the kinda strange looking 997 Targa would IMO, be better than a drop top 997....but still the coupe, with the aero kit.... and this RUF package 😅 Edit: and one must admit, the original owner who had this commissioned by RUF and the other company for the interior, top, and paint, had impeccable taste....man after my own heart I must say. Interior and top would've looked killer in deep blood burgundy as well with that paint, but you can't go wrong with that gorgeous shade of toffee brown 👌🏻 Edit again: I've changed my mind, I'll take the convertible, you driving with the top down, rowing through the gears listening to the F6 and the supercharger occasionally whine (barely audible on my end), and the sun shining on that gorgeous, sumptuous leather.... yeah, I'll take it 😅
There's a guy in the States with a GT3 with a ProCharger....it sounds absolutely insane and is fast AF.... it's literally everything you could ever want... keeps the F6 exhaust note, plus has that very distinctive ProCharger scream on boost and gasp when coming off throttle... it's sick AF
Different kind of drivers..... he means Dutch drivers who like to drive slow on the left lane on the Autobahn and are not used to fast traffic and can be a hazard
It was all custom matte titanium tinted carbon, I actually think it looks pretty sharp matching all the other custom titanium accents inside as well as the paint. Gotta remember as well, this was back in the early 00s....not too many people were using much carbon, let alone matte carbon, and especially not matte colored carbon... only one that comes to mind is AC Schnitzer in some of their BMW's, it's very rare to see, but I've seen some of their E34 M3's with aluminum and carbon composite trim, and those pieces of trim are super sought after, and if they're actually used, they're discolored unlike these which still look gorgeous.
No, it’s still quite faster than a stock s couple in acceleration and top speed due to extra torque and hp, the weight difference is not that big on these porches

Grey with brown looks slick as f.........Then the brown interior. Very classy 997 Ruf that moves !!
So many RUFs lately, love it!
It's awesome to see you drive the horses of the Porsche while also caring about the ones in the meadow!
When the ruf goes down, the prices goes up🎉 very nice example this 997😊
Is this a RUF drinking game?
Awesome car, absolutely love it!
Sad to consider a 997 3.8 an old porsche
Ouuh man the m97 w. a kompressor. What a ticking bomb! 😀
I wonder if it’s been checked for scoring
IMS bearing has left the chat

Ruf kompressor?... very gooooood
If they did not do anything internally, like a closed deck rebuild, that 3.8 wont last long. Even the X51 3.8 starts to give up at around 100.000km
Interessant ❣️👌🏼😃
Mit dem Kompressor hat der Boxer einen ganz eigenen klang ❕
Noch nie einen Elfer gehört, der so klang 😅
With that interior the car would be beautiful in RED💯
Remove the optics for more mosern one and rhe wheels which look old school with bigger 20" black rim and you ll get the perfect car.
My absolute dreamcar.yust cant afford it. 😅

a supercharged boxer 6 you dont see that very often, very cool!!

@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072 dope!! I'd love to hear that irl
That's actually very fast. Nice review.
never thought i'd say this about any car: it looks way better with the roof down.
I wonder if it is expensive to bring it this side... very beautiful car
Hahaha I was number 997 to like the video! Thanks for yet another superb video!
I love it!!! Performance & class.
Supercharged boxer...niceee
Beautifull 👍👍👍
Awesome car!
Whoa - nice!!
EDIT: And VERY nice Cadillac at 14:37!!
Very nice indeed, do know what model that could be?
@@zlover7777 I think it's a 1960 Eldorado Brougham
Guys I think its a RUF
How many times did you say RUF! 😂 You must put a counter in the video!
you should try the 993 turbo ;)
Great Porsche!
Different kind of drivers..... he means Dutch drivers who like to drive slow on the left lane on the Autobahn and are not used to fast traffic and can be a hazard
Kind of reminds of a bmw exhaust sound but less raspy
LOOOKING SOOO GOOOD
Super sounds. 💥🏁🚀
Ruf wheels? Those are OZ wheels
Me like !

Bet you didn't even watch the video.
Good job Martin, push it to the max! ;-)
It was max who did this video but yeah
👍🔥
Brown interior is very nice but wtf is that silver carbon steeringwheel

I'm in RRRuf shoes, with RRRuf underwear
*Roof liner
Roof Roof
You can tell the roof is always down.
So this is a 997.1, would it not have the 3.6, not the 3.8? Or is the change to the 3.8 part of the Ruf package?
C2/C4 = 3.6L
C2S/C4S = 3.8L
RUF it is
such a nice car
10:54 why that cars are standing in that place?
Link to car for sale?
Okay

Super cool car!
Caddy swap rs3 ??👀👀
Sure. That s fun !
Take a shot everytime he says "RUF"
Ye, steaming now!
Suffer with bore scoring?
Yes its M97
A Boxer engine is the gateway to bore scoring .
you taking apprentices lol
bumps at 300kmh lol you're crazy
🤵♂️❤️🇩🇪porsche.
GOLF R
This is probably as fast as a stock997 carrera s coupe because of all that extra weight.
Still incredibly specced car which can probably do everything

Hot take: this car doesn't sound good - but it is very cool.
Anyone say RUF 😂
How can it be a cabrio and also have a ruf?? 😅
No porsches should be turbo. Supercharged instead.
Take it up with Porsche.
The number of times you said ruf and "mothers"? Is a tad bit pretentious to say the least
14 times to 3:00 to be exact, thats like, more than 4 rpm!
Since it's a Porsche, 311 speedo is probably only 280 gps, lmao
Roef 😂😂😂
