  • Here's a walkthrough of setting up a simple Pong game scene in Godot.
This video doesn't include any implementation of the game logic. That part is explained in our previous video about Block Coding in Godot.

This is MAGIC! as a non-programmer but a game designer and animator I can EASILY follow,
Also it's important to mention YOU Sir, explain everything very well 👍
    🙋‍♂ Question:
Considering the current amount of BLOCKS (from latest version) how close it is to cover MOST of the "options" to make any game that could be done via GDscript?
Is it closer to that state or there's much more to add in order to be able to use it without being worry about GDscript?

I don't think we'll ever manage to support every game that could be made by GDScript, because we are intentionally introducing a learner-friendly high level abstraction to the block coding element, and we intend this to be used as a learning tool, not as a "forever" GDScript replacement.
However we do still have the question of: can our current set of blocks support a wide enough variety of simple games that learners would want to create. We don't have the answer there yet, we are currently scheduling some playtests with students. Your testing and input on this question is very welcome!

Is the block coding plugin at v0.6.0. If so, the "Block Code" editor button is at the bottom. The layout has been changed since this version. You may need save, then close the project and re-open the project once.
