I’m a patient of Glaucoma since 22 years, now age 76 woman. My eye 👁️ pressure was very high, using daily time Lubricant drops 3 times each drop and 1 time one drop in the evening name of that drop is Lumigan 0.01% made my eyes cool, apart from using drops concentrated on Diet food drinks and herbs, which really helped as eye pressure was 18-20now down to 16- 12. Eye Doc and specialist strictly said not to drink coffee and fast food, as coffee makes dry eyes. Everyday I drink Carrot 🥕 juice, one boiled pink colour sweet potato, green tea, before going to bed drink warm milk with half tea spoon of Turmeric powder. Or with warm water turmeric power with pinch of black pepper powder. To better sleeping and to cool nerve put pinch 🤏 of Nut meg powder, eating leafy greens 🥬.totally omitted sugar and sugary food. All the best, ow worry, you will fine. 👋 Zeenat from Canada 🇨🇦, 05 March 24 ( My background was Asian Indian) now in 🇨🇦. 🌹

Hi zeenat mam, i am from india too . Recently I visited eye hospital in nepal and they did my oct test and said to me that you have early stage of glaucoma. I was shocked to hear that. I am just 23 year old and in my family background also no one have this disease.
Yes, i am a myopic patient of -2. 00 right and -1.75 left. I do have eye floaters in my left eye which is negligible.
They gave me eye pressure medicine.
Should I change my eye doctor or see new one? Or should I start taking medicine?

Hey Jenni, If you ever need someone to talk to, Ill do my best to help. I have 30+ years of experience with this. If you need some inspiration look into Kirby Puckett. Some medicines may add to those thoughts so please look at the side effects of your medication and ask for other options, if necessary.

I'm 14years old and I was diagnosed with glaucoma since I was 2. I lost my vision completely on my left eye and my vision on my right eye is poor. I went everywhere for my treatment from Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia. I'm still a young teen but I've done almost 5 surgerys. livong with this conditiion is lonely, and sad it lead to depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. I really love studying and I really wish I could have friends and live happily like my other siblings. :((

I don't have glaucoma but I have had eye problems since I was five years old. My vision isn't that great either, but just know that you're not alone. Ive experienced the same mental health problems that you're facing, but time, self belief , self confidence and lack of concern for what other people think of me is what allowed me to move forward. You can do it to❤

So painful to hear what you're going through at such a young age. No eye problems myself (besides lazy eye), but lately been noticing a change in hearing at 28 years old with tinnitus after sickness. It's absolutely lonely and scary, and it's difficult not to be anxious about the future and sleep well with all those sounds in my head. Still in the stage of struggle and grief, but hopefully we'll be able to move on and make the best of what we have while we're here.
Really hope you'll find some good friends that care about you and support you. Rooting for you 💙

There's not always signs/ clues. If she wasn't struggling/ asking for help... how could you know? If she was having issues and you blew/ put her off/ neglected her... then you should feel guilty... but I doubt that's what happened. And even if you put off an appt... most would agree that a delay in a script for glasses would likely be the worst thing to occur... or at least that's what most of us would think, anyway. Be there for her now and show her she can deal w it. Life throws us curve balls... may as well learn that early. It's how you deal from now, forward... and you'll be great!! That's why you're here. I didn't look... this may be 9 years old. Lol. Oh well.

Take a deep breath, relax and reason with yourself. Take care of what you 're able to do. I personally have had to live with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension. I am on a meditation pump that continuously infuses via a Hickman catheter that is placed in a artery very close to my heart which then pumps it into my lungs to dilates the blood vessels in my lungs so I can breathe and live. I have to mix this medication daily and change my cassette on my pump. I have been doing this for 22 years. As severe as my case is if this doesn't work any more it would be lung transplant time , then only have a life expectation of 5 years. When I started on this medication I was so afraid how would I do all of this alone. I took what I could do ,took one day at atime. Handled the emergencies when they came up . I also deal with Generalized anxiety disorder and Major depressive disorder, and resantly diagnosed with Glaucoma. I take a lot of medication for my IPAH which also causes right side heart failure. What I have learned is that your REAL FRIENDS help you when you need it the most. I hope you havs an ESA support K9 to help you relax . Take one day at a time. When I got sick I lost my health, jobs, money,
Savings, retirement savings, everything. You have walk your onwunique path. Its not going to be like your friends that's ok it right for You. If you think about the future too much it will give you Major anxiety, If you think back to the past it will make you depressed because of all the things you can't do now. Im sure if you do some research there are some ways to midigate the problems that require a solution so you may do what you want to do. Just a little different way of getting it done. Never give up ! Ever. Much love from a understanding glaucoma patient and her ESA- support k9😊🐕🐾🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾🐾💕🐾💕🐾💕🐾

Things will work out for you and if an employer as why you have not worked just tell them it's because you wanted to focus on college, employers tend to like that response as it shows you have your priorities in order, and as far as transportation goes, well there is always options, and there are equipment that employers can get to make your job easier that are designed for low vision/blind people, so hang in there and things will work out also i would recommend contacting some of the other youtubers out there in the visually impaired/blind community they can offer advice as well as a supportive network.

I have been recently diagnosed with glaucoma and I’m scared. I’m only 21 and I was doing pretty good with my grades, I was going to study in another country to live a new experience and to take my studies to another level and now I just want a normal life. I just want to get marry and have children and I don’t know if that’s going to happen. I thought in some very bad things, but I think that it’s important to keep fighting. The good thing in my case it’s that they detected me this disease in a early stage and I know that there’s going to be a cure someday. Just think in the incredible pace science and technology is advancing. Maybe we don’t have a cure, but there is some research being done to help us.

You are doing good just keep going.
A job you may enjoy is a massage therapist. Massage schools accommodate visually impaired. testing and so forth. I went to school and there were 2 that were limited. One was blind from a gun shot and one was blind from an early age.
I have been a massage therapist for many years and have always preferred working alone.
Most clients talk very little but sometimes they do. It is like if you click together.
There is little to no paper work. The clients like it because they do not have to worry about you seeing them.
some are very insecure about their appearance.
Every challenge has its hurdles .
Doing massage you literally see with your hands. There is a part of your bran that detects feeling and as time goes you become more sensitive to touch.
just one idea. Also as pretty as you are some man will want to marry you. Men are naturally inclined to protect women.
Try to focus on the advantages in your life. do all you can for yourself and let others help, we all need help in one way or another.

Don’t be scared I have accomplished some goals also but like you, I have more I want to do in life I know what it feels like to worry about the future I pray to God, he hears me and comforts me he can do the same for you in a way that will surprise you If you’re not Christian that’s ok. But if you are or aren’t, tell god your worries and believe in him and you’ll see that he will show you that he cares the Bible promises that

I have friend from elementary school that is blind so is her husband . They have guide dogs , live on their own . They use a service to get to and from work . You’ve got this one step at a time

There is hope! The glaucoma association is busy with deep study and will solve glauacoma with stem cell development. Go to the best specialist and keep hope. Worry deepens the problem. I have bad vision my whole life and have very successful life. Put your worries aside. Stop thinking about it. I know people with 10 percent vision who get on with life. Google, coffee is bad for glaucoma. I drink decaf max 2 a day.

Decaf coffee is the most toxic kind. I have a client who was CEO of a coffee company and told me this. I would suggest organic coffee only and small amounts.

Sheesh... it's depressing over here. I guess my diagnosis hasn't set in yet... although I've been through hell already w this crap. I figure either armageddon will happen and we'll be gone or we'll roll out those med beds in a couple years and fix all of our 'issues' the easy way... just in time. Lol. And don't forget about self driving cars!! Girl... you won't need rides. We're gonna all be just fine. Well...I dunno...I go back for that nail gun in the face 'relatively easy' procedure tomorrow... and I'll just say, last time... it DID NOT go well. No it did not. But don't tell me I'm gonna feel a little pressure and then blast me with a bb/ nail gun in my eye. Omg. Clearly... they lie. 😆😆 they hate me now... YAY!! Going back today!! 🙄 But now... I KNOW what to expect... and that's a problem. Only an idiot would be cool w sitting there again... waiting to get blasted... expecting pressure but getting ice pick through the eye instead. 💩 I'm not sure I can do that again. They act like everyone is fine w it. I don't believe it. Lol. Ive had numerous kidney stones, many tattoos & 3 kids... one w no meds, so I'm not a baby. I'm also not an idiot. It's my 👀's! Sedate me and quit being ridiculous. It's a torture procedure. 😆😆
