Despite having a lower range voice, he is able to hit a high B4. Really shows the endurance of this fine and underrated singer.
His final concert performance before his run as the Phantom in POTO.
Is Timothy really a bass-baritone? Because it is unreal for a bass-baritone to hit a B4. His POTO farewell song voice sounds very tenorish. I think he is a singer who can sing in all voice types(yes, I believe he can do the high tenor roles if he worked at it) . This is random, but I really want him to play the Phantom in Love Never Dies with Sierra(which is technically impossible by this point) . I think he would make a good Piangi, Andre, Raoul(if he was younger) and basically all the male roles in POTO. I know it sounds like I have a crush on him, which I do😍
Yes, Timothy is a Bass-Baritone. He would nail Love Never Dies in his Prime!!! I am sure of it! Well he is 78 now, and actually a couple years ago reprised the roles of Sweeney Todd and Judge Turpin at the Atlanta Opera. He actually was casted to play Jean Valjean in Les Miz in the late 90s. Note that the B4 was a near strain, but he nailed it!
What is a phantom of the opera farewell song?
@@brandonbenitez9746 At the curtain call of Timothy's final performance of Phantom, he sang the Italian love song "Dicitencello Viu" as a farewell to the cast and audience. He was very emotional that night, shows in the recording

Believe it or not, he was one of the shortest phantoms, at 5’6, but is voice is so GIANT! I agree, he is good looking!

jian cui Michael Crawford should have played the Phantom, and Ramin as Raoul. I hate the new rock orchestration of the title song. It’s just not the same
Oh my goodness. FINALLY someone likes Ramin as Raoul. Ramin, imo has a powerful voice however he doesn't suit the phantom at all but he is PERFECT for Raoul. And yes, MC should have played the Phantom although he might not be vocally capable for it since he didn't sing in the end at all.😭😭

There’s some wobble to his voice here. Not good.
Emily Greene if I’m not mistaken, I heard he was ill during this performance, so that must be why. His voice usually sounds more powerful and clean with a beautiful vibrato. Maybe that’s why. given he is a bass-baritone, hitting a high b is incredible. He sounds better then most of the over hyped modern tenors today.
