I think it works both ways, though. The Secret Service isn't perfect or some of the attempted assassinations would never have come as close as they have. For instance, remember that guy who got on the stage with Trump during the 2016 campaign? He had a gun. Of course he was successfully handled, but the point is the Secret Service are human, they make mistakes or overlook things, and none of their systems are perfect.
@@remo27 the best of the secret service was ronald reagans attempted assassination they wasnt ready not controlled he was only saved by one secret servicemen where he blocked a bullet and took it to the stomach
Back in the 1980's there was a time when 3 presidents (2 ex's and the current one) were going to be in town at the same time. I was a cab driver at the time and I remember sitting in front of the Hilton hotel and noticing that NONE of the bellhops were people I recognized - and that they all had pretty good builds!
My uncle grew up in the age where you could buy a gun from a friend, no paperwork, nobody knows, etc. One day he was buying a rifle and accidentally shot the roof. A while after that he was the bartender at a rally for a guy running for president. The secret service interviewed him and the first thing that asked was if he'd shot out any more roofs
When I worked for one of the Disney stores, we got a call one day from the secret service that President Reagan was coming in for a visit. We thought it was a joke at first, but sure thing, an hour before Reagan arrived, 2 agents came in to look over the location. They were very friendly, but as soon as the President arrived they were spot on. The President was very cordial, and if I remember right, he bought a Thumper plush for one of his Grandchildren. It's not everyday that you can say that you got to meet a President that you voted for.
Wow, thanks for posting. I had no idea. The ink thing really shocked me. I had no idea. The secret service is no joke. I remember years ago, many years ago as very young adult me and some friends were drinking and being stupid. For some reason we got out the phone book, back in those day we had phone books with phone numbers in them. We saw a number for the secret service, this was just a local office of course where no agents there, so we thought, but I guess they have field offices all over the U.S. I called the number and believe it or not, someone answered at like 3am. I said something stupid like "tell me a secret if you're really the secret service". They hung up the phone. About 30 minutes later it looked like a scene out of a movie, they rolled up to the house, must have been at least 10 cars, banged on the door. We answered and got chewed out, screamed at by men with guns. Once they saw we were just a bunch of drunk kids, they left as quick as they arrived. We all were picked up by the local police the next day, finger printed, had our picture taken and we had to go to court to pay a fine. We weren't charged with a crime luckily. We learned our lesson, no not, ever mess with the secret service.
Your story is funny. thanks for sharing. As a mother, if my children would have done this I would not have found it funny. They would have been in so much trouble they'd have in detention for years. They handled it well, a little punishment just enough to point you in the right direction and never again!
I was a Director of Security at a 600 room hotel in the midwest of the U.S. We had many Presidential visits where the President stayed at my hotel. In part, like the video shows, proximity to hospitals, the airport but including a secure under canopy side entrance with quick access to the service elevator as they won't let the President in the guest elevator and with few exceptions the hotel lobby. One thing the video didn't note is they won't allow the President to stay in a guest room above the 7th floor as a Fire Department ladder truck will not reach above that height in the event of a fire. It's true, any employee working while the president is in the hotel must have a background check done on them. The secret service also establishes a command center within the hotel.
some kid : Hey dude, lets send a fake death threat to the president!" next day : "Hey mom, who is that?" Mom: "Oh, its just the secret service." kid: 0_0
I served in the US Air Force and something that’s unknown to many is that a number of C-17 cargo jets support Presidential missions. They fly out the Secret Service advance teams days ahead of the President’s flight and bring all sorts of vehicles and equipment along with agents. There is also an alternate plane at an alternate airport near to where the President is flying to/out of, just in case the route or aircraft is attacked. Sometimes it’s another VC-25, but sometimes it’s a C-37 (Gulfstream V), a C-40 (Boeing 737) or a C-17. This way, when the Air Force One arrives, the security team is already in place, with vehicles and plans. They usually depart within two days after the President’s departure.
I had a friend in school who wanted to be a Secret Service agent when he grew up. And in his senior year in high school, Secret Service agents came into the neighborhood where he lived, and they interviewed all his neighbors and all his friends there, and asked things like if he ever said bad things about the President, and if he seemed like someone who loved his country, stuff like that!
We had agents come to the house to ask about a neighbor who was looking to get security clearance. Also, I'm mesmerized how simple they look in their tight, elegant suits but is impressive to witness how in a second they can pull out pieces of a weapon fom their jackets and snap them together to make a large scary weapon in an instant from an unassuming suit to a machine gun.
Part of the reason for having all those sample of ink is that our secret service is also responsible for identifying counterfeit money. airline tickets, etc.
By investigating every threat, people quickly figure out not to do it. A couple of times a year, some celebrity has these guys show up at their door over something on Twitter, it gets press, then people behave a bit more.
They didn’t say it but the Secret Service is also responsible for all counterfeit money in America which is another reason they would keep up with all inks
Idk the horsepower or performance capabilities of the Beast but when President Trump attended the 2020 Daytona 500, the Beast did a pace lap around the track. Supposedly the car was so heavy from the armor that it couldnt run on the steep banks of the race track so instead the Beast did its lap at the bottom/inside of the track. If I remember correctly, FOX said that the Beast weights roughly 27,000 lbs. I'm sure it's very easy to find a video of Trump attending the Daytona 500
Presidential protection is a small part of what the Secret Service does. Their primary responsibility is to combat counterfeiting of currency. One of the reasons the Secret Service has such a vast inventory of ink is in the anti-counterfitting efforts not just to track down threatening letters.
I’m a mural/wallpaper installer in DC and have done a few jobs in the buildings they guard and worked for a few people under secret service protection. They’re usually nice and a lot easier to deal with than the normal DC cops. The weirdest experience I had was working at the DAR museum which had been rented out to film the TV show “Veep.” It was really bizarre b/c the DAR is like two blocks from the actual White House so the real Secret Service cops shut down the street and were standing around their actual patrol cars watching the actors dressed dressed up as secret service agents standing around their movie undercover cars. It was very weird.
12:39 "There must be a lot of people working there?" You have the home offices in Washington running 24/7/365, the advance teams that cover the routes and accommodations weeks in advance, regional offices that receive the fieldwork to clear the threats, the training and refresher courses at the Farm, the agents testifying in courts, the international advance teams, and then you get to the traditional duties for the Treasury Department.
it was declassified that the beast can even withstand a direct hit by an anti tank mine and drive away with little to no damage. I think the armors a liiiiittle bit thicker then "a few inches"

When one is in the military and, due to their job, are required to get a security clearance, they send the FBI to interview all the person's friends and neighbors and relatives to determine if the person is trustworthy to obtain a security clearance. It’s likely that the online monitoring is done by computer which would search for a list of keywords. I’m guessing that it would also need to monitor how the words are grouped, because you can innocently post online using specific words, but with no ill intent. There would likely be an algorithm that would alert when multiple keywords show up together, which would probably then necessitate human review. (My theory is solely based on 20+ years working in IT.) I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy your videos. One lie in the video is about investigating ALL online mentions of threats. That isn't done. Only those that cross the line into "assault" type comments that are possibly illegal.
The Secret Service will weld the manhole covers on roads that the President travels on after someone has gone down and cleared the the pipes of any hazard.. The will also make people that are working on rooftops stop working while the President is passing by. I've had to get down before because of this one.
"The Beast" is also completely sealed shut with its own supply of oxygen. It's so it will survive biological and chemical attacks. Also radiation fallout from a nuclear attack.
Courtney, if you are using (Chrome) web browser you should look into Adblock for UA-cam. It does exactly what it's meant to lol. Do your research first of course. As always, great vid!
I was a cook for a banquet where the POTUS was a guest of honor. These guys are serious. 1. Everyone left the kitchen and lined up in the hallway, where they had German Shepherds sniffing all of us and our lockers. 2. You get patted down and aren't allowed to leave the kitchen again. Until either the President leaves or if you leave the area, that's it, you have 10 minutes to leave the entire street, not just the buildings. 3. They watched everything. It's hard making 200 steaks when 2 guys with MP5s under their jacket are watching you. Then when I left, damn. They had SWAT teams and snipers on the roof. It was insane. I couldn't make'm laugh. But one smirked. Edit: There was a coworker who left her purse, and didn't remember it until she was outside. The guy guarding the door said that they already confiscated it and did a minor check, but had to send it to the lab. She was only allowed back her license. She got the rest on Monday though.
So the other day Joe Biden stopped by my work to do a press conference. It was 41C outside and the Secret Service assigned to him were posted outside the front entrance to my building. There is no shade nor any sort of relief from the heat/sun. They stood there for hours without any complaints. true badasses right there

There was a story of one president in LA him and his detail got in a lift with a hotel security guard who was armed and no one noticed
Top 10 Pat McAfee moments he was drafted by the Colts as a punter not knowing how to punt he is a beast
One lie in the video is about investigating ALL online mentions of threats. That isn't done. Only those that cross the line into "assault" type comments that are possibly illegal.
No threats coming from me! Thank you Courtney!
The Secret Service will weld the manhole covers on roads that the President travels on after someone has gone down and cleared the the pipes of any hazard.. The will also make people that are working on rooftops stop working while the President is passing by. I've had to get down before because of this one.
The car has a little more public info available. ss studies ink they handle counterfeit currency.
"The Beast" is also completely sealed shut with its own supply of oxygen. It's so it will survive biological and chemical attacks. Also radiation fallout from a nuclear attack.
OMG... poor Secret Service agents... they must have to work so hard these last 4 years...
This is the United States of America... If you aren't on a watchlist somewhere already you aren't trying hard enough! 🤣😂
As always. Great reaction.
Courtney, if you are using (Chrome) web browser you should look into Adblock for UA-cam. It does exactly what it's meant to lol. Do your research first of course. As always, great vid!
Love you vids courtney, a thing for you to react to in which I think you'll enjoy is MLBS greatest comebacks. Exe Edits should have the best vid
Thank you so much!! oooo awesome sounds great, i'll write this down! :)
Your kinda my new favorite youtuber
This was a really cool video
He didn't explain the dark sun glasses properly. They are not only DARK! They are Polarized! It allows you see much more than what you are looking at!
So the other day Joe Biden stopped by my work to do a press conference. It was 41C outside and the Secret Service assigned to him were posted outside the front entrance to my building. There is no shade nor any sort of relief from the heat/sun. They stood there for hours without any complaints. true badasses right there
Hey Courtney when you come to America you will have to come watch the Indianapolis 500 its the largest sporting event in the world and you also get one of those great fly overs you like so much.
Can you react to Marcus Luttrell and his survival story
Would love for you to review AIR FORCE ONE, and it's mission to transport the president.
These are the only things they let us know about. There are a lot of things that are very top secret.
Short of a tank round, that car probably isn't going to get hurt.
Hey, everyone! Welcome to my comment. I react exclusively to New Zealanders named Courtney reacting to military videos, sport videos and drum corps videos. Yes, it's a niche market but I'm thriving. ;-)
When the President comes to Houston He lands 5 miles from my house. And yes they shut down all the roads.
Obama came to Houston once and his motorcade was on the road during peak afternoon rush hour. You wanna talk about tens of thousands of pissed off drivers! Because hundreds of local HPD entirely cleared the highway for him, during peak traffic. It was a traffic nightmare for several hours.
Wish they had shown the firepower those black Suburban SUVs are packing.
she really should watch a whole video on the beast its got a lot more then that shows
7 tons of armor lmao thats 14 thousand pounds ... most cars are not even half that heavy
I was surprised by the particular martial art called systema some learn.
All this protection for a bunch of puppets
Yea, go deeper into The Beast & the President's motorcade. It is nuts
1. Selection and upkeep of presidential look-alikes.
Having been stationed where the President has visited for foreign affair meetings, I have seen the beast a number of times in our compound garage area and have gotten some photos taken of me with the vehicle....it is fairly impressive vehicle and the entourage of other vehicles is pretty damn impressive as well.
Here's Jay Leno talking about having Barack Obama on his late night talk show: ua-cam.com/video/y0XtNGuijqc/v-deo.html
