I just need one thing explained... I was in the Navy, I had a security clearance ran on me, let's just say I wsa around stuff that was important, so it wasn't your "everyday" clearance. I pass it, of course, but when I went back home my first time on leave, I stopped by my old high school (pls note, this was 30 years ago), I talked to some of my old teachers and 3 of them had been contacted by the FBI? CIA? whoever was doing the security clearance stuff two of them were in person visits. They dug so far into my background they talked to people I had fogotten about. Why is this not done with EVERY SINGLE member of Government as they apply? Congress Senate whatever... OK.. everyone might get expensive, but before your in office Congress/Senate/President you gotta pass one of these.

Apparently he was and they told him not to run because his background had too many problems. But he doesn't care and did anyway. In America "anyone can be president or run for office" so there's nothing stopping someone, unless they don't have at least a million dollars.

In addition, being a 'Canuk', eh, my sport of passion in the 70's was Hockey, (specifically Les Canadiens de Montreal; those Habs/Bruins games in the 70's were CLASSICS!), and I did play a bit of 'semi-pro'; somewhat ironically I still required 'right shoulder surgery' about 5 years ago ('thanks' to some pitching, but mostly badminton, tennis, football, and even 'more ironically' a whole lot of fishing/casting !).
All that being said it still 'boggles the mind' that "As of 2022, the 1971 Orioles are one of only two Major League Baseball clubs (the 1920 Chicago White Sox being the other) to have four 20-game winners in a season: Jim Palmer, Dave McNally, Mike Cuellar, and Pat Dobson !!! Also, during the discussion on George Santos, Jon Stewart said some pretty profound things, that I think could put him in a Quotes from Great People collection. :) Here is the way I pulled the quote to sound the most academic/important. It was some great philosophy: "In absurdity is where the real danger always is."
"We cannot mistake absurdity for lack of danger. Because it takes people with no shame to do shameful things...
Absurdity always makes you think something is more benign than it is...

@@lindalambertson6294 Yes, _The Emperor Wears No Clothes_ by Jack Herer is the book that made *Hemp for Victory* public.
My father was a history buff. He had read thousands of books and magazines about World War II, and he grew up in the 60s and 70s, and when he saw *Hemp for Victory,* he said, "I've never even heard of this." That's how pervasive the censorship of this was.
Because the video was made before television and only shown to a few thousand farmers mostly in rural Kentucky and Wisconsin, it was easy to hide it from the rest of the country. For decades after World War II, the government denied that the film ever existed and force-fed anti-marijuana drug war lies to the public so that the film was simply forgotten. Now, more than 30 years since the film became public, everyone is so saturated with nonsense on television, radio and the internet that *Hemp for Victory* just gets drowned out by celebrity chefs, "epic fail" TikTok videos, and members of Congress lying about where they went to college.
Day after day, hundreds of articles are written all across the country about Cannabis "legalization" and not one mentions that Cannabis was legalized 80 years ago to save freedom and democracy for the entire world.
I've been trying to tell people about this for about 15 years since I learned of it, and any one of these popular celebrity podcasters or talk show hosts could make hundreds of thousands of more people aware of it in a single day if they would just talk about it.
Here's how bad it actually is:
Tulsi Gabbard introduced a bill in Congress titled HR 3652, the *Hemp for Victory Act of 2019.* Not even Tulsi Gabbard would talk about *Hemp for Victory* on television, and now she's hosting a program on FOX News. It's completely insane.
