- For the first time ever, I show the maps of Super Paper Mario. Again, huuuge thanks to aldelaro5, without him, this video wouldn't be alive! :)

I'm going to assume a lot of these are used for testing the game's physics, animations, and hit detection

Oh Look! Mario Finally realized that hacking got you STUCK. Happy infi-game over screen lol. On another note... I didn't know that the game over screen was a room... Obviously why the animation is frozen, and probably why it takes so long to spawn and fall is because of when you die, you fall when you drop to 0 HP normally...

go1_01 is certainly game over screen, not only because the letters at the map, but also because go stands for GameOver

Is there a way to access Mario's House or Bowser's Castle and explore them? I'd like to see what they look like when flipped to 3D. I'd also like to see the room from the prologue and ending, where Bleck married Peach and Bowser together and later where the mega spoilers happened.

I'd like to check them out for myself. Can they be accessed on Dolphin? If so how? I found a google document on it but I don't know where to enter those codes.

I don't think I had the cheat anymore, ask aldelaro, he has everything
I was able to figure it out, and I posted a video of those maps. You can really have fun with spawning in certain used maps before you are supposed to. I spawned in the final boss room before starting Chapter 8 and I could freely explore it, though Count Bleck and his minions were in their meeting positions from the previous interlude, just standing there with no collision except on the bottom for some reason (Luigi would hit his head super jumping under them) Also the door where you would normally enter the room is not functional at all. At least one other room in Castle Bleck softlocks you if you try to spawn in it, that is the outside room with some Cursya. Have no idea why it does this, as it tries to respawn the player after they fall but gets stuck. And spawning in the final boss room sometimes gives off that buzz sound if done at the wrong point in the story. Once I triggered an interlude by going in there from Chapter 1-3, effectively skipping the rest of Chapter 1. Just some interesting stuff I've achieved after figuring out how to load the player into any room in the game.

Curious how there's a map reserved for the Game Over screen, even though the game obviously ended up not using it.

Or IS this the game over screen the game warps to, but it just runs with a script to make these characters move the way they do in the actual "Game Over" display?

Is4_02 was most likely an unused room in Castle Bleck.
That's what we think aswell (me and aldelaro)
ls4_02 does have the Castle Bleck theme, along with the fact that it shares it's artstyle in it. Who knows what this room could've been used for before it got scrapped?

aa1_01: you play the map
aa2_01: background is shown (as the background of cutscene where we show bowser castle) but if you go a little too far, you fall and the game keep respawning you offscreen
aa3_01: you are on a little flat ground but the image is shown
mac_22: game crashes but you can probably land on ground, does same as go1_01
mg1_01: loads it but you can't move
same for mg2 and mg3 and mg4_01
title: loads directly the title screen
go1_01 might actually be used in jap version, but never played it so idk.
and for pause screen: everything's fine, you can change character etc :p

+mariomadproductions Hi, I am the one who made the documentation and tested the maps.
aa1: well mario house and bedroom with act normal, though the mario house gives a quite funny view in 3d where the house is almost out of the map lol :)
aa2: the bowser's castle exterior is similar to the TTYD one, there's a ground at its centre, but a very small one. Interior seems normal.
aa3: it simply is the map of the credits but for some reasons, they donl't load upon loading the map, all I think it has is a limited ground and the grass are separate from the picture in 3d.
mac22: that one is strange. You have a limited ground only in 2d, not in 3d and the place where you should fall from the tower to 3rd floor are just solid collisions. You don;t have 2nd floor loaded like usual and the map is basically JUST the tower but incomplete. It's quite strange tbh, but it is used.
every mg map simply load the minigame, pure and simple and can;t do anything else other than just play the minigame like you would normally.
tittle is just loading the tittle screen as it would normally, you don;t actually spawn while this is happening so there's no other distinctive features about it.
I didn't tested on a JP version, it is easy to do so though as you would just need to have a jp rom extracted and check the map folder, if it has a go1_01.bin file, it just means the map exists. i might test the JP version eventually.
the above maps, except tittle and minigame......are just the usual pause screen, there's no special features or stuff about it, it pauses as you would expect it to. Also, idem for unused map, they don't actually alter the pause in any way.

Juste par curiosité, comment accède-tu a ces maps, ça pourrait faire de sacrés cuts (ex ls4_02, je me demandes ce qu'il y a derrière la porte).

+pierreyann1 J'ai testé et la réponse est assez intéressante.
Tu ne peut pas accèder aux maps normalement. Il n'y a aucune loading zone liée à ces maps. Cependant, les maps elles-mêmes sont fonctionelles, la porte ici mène à une autre map dans 8-4 (je crois que c'est la première ou la deuxième). Celle du 5-1 toutes les portes et tuyaux sont fonctionelles et les tuyaux indique que cette map aurait été fait poyur être la deuxième map du chapitre (le tuyau de gauche mène à la première et le tuyau de droite mène à la deuxième).
idem pour la map dans le Whoa Zone. Je trouve cela intéressant parce que cela nous dis qyue ces maps étaient fonctionelles.
***** dommage, faudrait trouver un code arbitraire pour créer une zone de chargement, imagine tu passes du monde 3 au niveau final, le cut de malade (mais bon je m'y connais pas trop en ACE donc bon).

y'aurait pas des problèmes de niveau déjà? XD (à moins qu'on infinite XP avec le glitch) et bon le ACE je pue XD
je pense pas, avec un ACE (arbirtary code execution) on arrive à transformer un jeu SNES (SMW) en Pong et snake en quelques secondes alors juste créer une zone de chargement.
