@TheJoyofTrucking okay kool, am on the Shaffer side didn't make it I thought they say the bonus was all about safety. not about miles..
@@shabbahyman9620 Sorry you did not make the bonus. We were conversing with some people about that recently. The Shaffer side has a lower mileage goal. I think 28,500. Maybe. For dry van it’s 30,000 miles in the three months. It’s a combination of safe driving and mileage. If you miss on one of those, you do not qualify for the bonus unfortunately. The Shaffer drivers said they often don’t make the bonus. I think it might’ve been a discussion on the Crete UA-cam channel. In the comments.

When I worked at Komatsu in Peoria Illinois the guy doing the shipping new the weights on each pallet or tub and I would load it the way they wanted. There was one guy who argued with me on the way my company had me load it. So after I get it loaded he comes up to me says he made a mistake. I told him I don't have the time of this minute since I was unloading some one else, he said ok😊
Kevin does create make you take a lot of back roads. Or off interested routing.

FYI Ca and Maine or the only states that have a 40 foot bridge law most states dont enforce a bridge law but i know FL is 41 feet i beleive and CO and WY you can be up to 36000 bls on the tandems
Watching drivers in tractors, the ride looks rougher than in a personal vehicle. Do you do stretches etc to combat injuries that occur over time ie disc injuries or do you need to? Operating motorcoaches looks to be a smoother ride than OTR operating. Very much enjoying your videos and thanks for sharing! 😊❤
Doesn’t matter where you’re going, 100 miles or across country. You should always stretch before heading out, and if like me, stop every 3 hrs (roughly) for a quick stretch. Shoulder rolls and “foot rockers” (as I call them) while driving can really keep the fatigue at bay during those long runs.

Hi guys, please don’t take offence at my suggestion but when Kevin is driving down the road and you are in conversation I’m sure it would be most interesting for the views to have your camera on the highway and not on Kevin. 👍🤓👍
@@MichaelMilburn-v6k We appreciate your comment. I do switch it up. But when the camera is forward and Kevin talks the sound is not good. So when he talks I have camera on him most of the time for better sound quality. Luckily the view out his window is visible. We’ve tried mikes. But for recording spontaneously during a 14-16 hour day it’s not been very practical so far.

Question will a trucking company help a new driver get registered with the fmcsa clearing house because I think it required for all truck drivers to be in it I might be wrong
If you are a new driver with a decent carrier, they take care of everything.
Some even have their own CDL driving schools. The downside to their school is, after you graduate, you have to stay with them for a certain period of time, so they get their time and $$$ back.
But the carrier will take care of you FMCSA, DOT, and anything else to make sure your are legal driving their equipment.
