Have been hoping to find one of these (or the "Honor Guard", which was the original version before Savage bought it. Have really been hoping to either find one to learn how they work or to find a disassembly/assembly video that shows how they work. (or at-least shows the parts good enough, so I can see how they work. It's just not one of the guns that's popular enough to have 100s of videos about it online with trigger job videos and repair videos and all that stuff. Really wish they did though.
It's being discounted because savage released a single stack sub compact when the market is demanding 10+ capacity micro 9s with an optic cut. Btw, I bought one too because of price and ambidextrous features.
They were 200$ because of a rebate. I was gonna buy one but held off hoping it will become cheaper. From what I see, they are like the original S&W M&P shield.
With single stack, trigger a little heavy, and non captive recoil spring. I will wait till Savage fixes this or comes out with a different model. A few years ago a single stack in my opinion was fine but nowdays groups of people are causing trouble, I want as many rounds as I can in a compact package.
Got two. Love 'em.
They all come with both the flush mag and extension mag unless you ordered the 10 rnd mag they just came out with.
I wasreally interested in this one. Thanks!
It looks like a pretty good gun. I'm curious to see if you like it better than some of your other budget nines especially the Stoeger str9c
