@@jamesroy9657nah there were more people who acted like that back then in the business. @@ddcs0ssame here, i don't think CM Punk was a bad dude. He is just someone who act like "did someone offended me?" But he didn't realize that no one is offended him and i like to think, he just needs to control his own thought and emotion. One more thing, i'm pretty sure that most people who hate CM Punk are going to take what RVD says with no context similar with HHH promo with Punk because for all i care many wrestlers and management in WWE especially in the 80s-2000s behave like Punk.
To what Rob was talking about, for people nowadays "not being committed to the fight but being committed to the dance" nowadays if you don't just lie there and let the other person do their stuff on you you get very quickly accused of sandbagging. Wrestling fans nowadays don't want to watch a wrestling match. They want to watch a choreographed dance. It's much easier for someone who's never been in a fight before or never wrestled before to judge a dance than it is to judge a sport and still sound like they know things.
That’s not true that all fans are like that, all the big indie marks love that, which also hate Goldberg, that was me my dad’s favorite because he destroyed mother f*ckers, same with Brock lesnar, Kurt angle and Samoa joe, and not because they did Canadian destroyers or any of that dancing stuff, it’s because they were in a “fight” black pool combat club is what we like about AEW, not the elite trampoline act
I agree but I also think we are at a point where wrestling has to be like that. Kayfabe is dead and everyone can watch a wrestling seminar on UA-cam to get a better understanding of how shit works. You can't compete with the authenticity of MMA and even Hollywood films have tried to be more realistic when it comes to action which means there isn't enough fantasy in the genre of action TV or cinema. Wrestling fills that gap of seeing really interesting and creative interpretations of the idea of a fight, rather than just trying to simulate it, while also at times having guys who can make the fantastical elements feel grounded and earned.
Ever thought that TNT executives could have pushed for the firing? And TJ is just being a good boss and taking the blame, instead of being like,"TNT said,"
An entire 2 minutes and 6 seconds of rvd talking, not really saying anything, and basically just saying words for the sake of words. What did we learn? He doesn’t know what collision is or that punk was booking it, only that he was told it was punks show but doesn’t know what that means, he doesn’t know punk well or worked with him much, he just knows at some unspecified time punk didn’t want someone touching his bags, and therefore he has surmised punks entire personality from a 3rd person perspective of a conversation on a airplane. Yeah really interesting, I feel like he lit up with Matt riddle before this interview.
And it’s crazy how people just eat that shit up…it’s funny that a lot of these “vets” are from the plane ride from hell but will speak on Punk as if he’s the inventor of the word toxic
Just another wrestler who clearly doesn’t think much of Punk. If he did he wouldn’t have told the story, it’s actually pretty telling that’s the story RVD shared, no it’s not that bad but when it’s the same guy speaking out against small issues time and time again.. it can get very tiresome. Like “oh who cared about the bag getting moved?” “It was Phil” “ahh yes of course it was…” Also I don’t think anyone is expecting an RVD interview to be super insightful.

We MAY finally get the dream match Steve and Phil often talked about wanting....wrestling each other.... that is if the WWE talks (which are now confirmed to be taking place) go well.
Nope in fact CM Punk is that way because he's an insecure spoiled little cry baby that has ego and pride issues and is a mark for himself and only about himself and think everything should be booked around him and throws fits and start fights and quits when it doesn't go his way. CM Punk has no right to be that way and disrespected the veterans to help make this business because they didn't do what he wanted. So you're wrong
Rob’s probably got more friends or more ppl that at least like him bc he’s so chill. Listening to Nash talk about him was pretty funny, like RVD is a walking endorsement on “why to smoke cannabis,” bc of how chill he is. Punk seems to burn bridges where ever he goes.
I like that rvd argues with himself on humility and how to interact politely, honestly, and let the ego go, be grounded in that we are all just equal people, we all bleed, we all the same naked as in clothes don’t make the man, man makes the clothes! If you become someone’s idol, hero, local or hollywood celebrity…. Just remember, you are us, let not the success destroy that humility because its easy to have an ego, very hard to stay grounded and humble as father God, Lord Christ Jesus and Holy Spirit asked of us but like Taz, I digress.
I've always loved RVD. It was a shame his WWE title run had to end the way it did. I don't think I've ever heard a bad story about the guy. Unlike other favourites I've had in the wrestling business he's just as likeable out of character as he is in character.

It is often most beneficial in the long run. I dont have to " know " anyone to be able to observe, and interpret body language, actions, context tone and vibes. Rob and Phil's reputations with people and their industry speak volumes for themselves. Now what was your point friend? Some exposition please. Thank you. And have a good night.
RVD's cm punk story says it all about punk...
still the 🐐
@@Barbaresantana ya Rob Van Dam is the man
Yes I hear similar story that man has a huge power trip mindset 😂
@@Barbaresantanayes RvB is and punk will never be
@@N8_Dogg the 2 are still 🐐 even with story like that bro
What an awesome dude. I love RVD.
I think RVD might have really nailed it I don't think Punk is a bad dude but I could definitely see him being way too sensitive in the sense that it probably doesn't take much to piss him off and he overreacts at times and the saddest part is if he had started wrestling in the 80s or 90s it wouldn't be that big of a deal because a lot of the huge stars at that time were like that HBK Rocky Hogan Brett Hart Flair Macho and Warrior all had massive egos back in the day
If CM Punk has started wrestling in the 80s he would have never made it and would have been nothing but a jobber back then. Nope CM Punk would have opened his mouth and got beat up by the legendary badass veterans back then
@@jamesroy9657nah there were more people who acted like that back then in the business. Keep in mind in the old days wrestlers were legit athletes and/or outlaws and misfits many of whom couldn't fit in society. Today's wrestlers are mostly happy to be there people who you would see at a Wholes Food.
@Epsilonsama nope there weren't punks like CM Punk back then and he would got beat up and kicked out of the business. CM Punk was too small for the business back then
@@jamesroy9657 WTF are you talking about I legitimately don't like CM PUNK but thinking he'd of gotten beat up or is too small is the dumbest thing I've ever heard ... Dudes a legit 6'2 and has fought for real in the MMA world he's probably a better fighter than 90 to 95 percent of the guys who have ever worked in professional wrestling and 6'2 is his real height based on MMA reports most wrestlers are a few inches shorter than their billed heights I'm 5'10 and can tell you right now I'm taller than HBK and not much shorter than Brett Hart I've met both neither are as tall as the WWE says CM Punk would have been fine in the 90s as far as size goes
Bill is a legend, Rvd is a legend, two legends who know, love and respect pro wrestling
Always like listening to rvd
Hilarious that the part we all want to watch starts at 4:20 😂
To what Rob was talking about, for people nowadays "not being committed to the fight but being committed to the dance" nowadays if you don't just lie there and let the other person do their stuff on you you get very quickly accused of sandbagging.
RVD has looked the same way since I was a kid. He may be a little bit older looking, but he has not aged that much.🤔
He still has it, too bad AEW doesn't have it.
Good interview!!!
Love me some rvd . Favorite wrestler growing up :) and my ole time favorite clip is when he poking an apple backstage on tna impact to smoke a bowl
Apter is the true BA Billy. Still goin' hard!
In fact yeah Rob looks like Jean Claude (Van Damme)
I always love him. He got a raw deal because he was used to put a bunch of people over.
CM Punk and RVD should do a buddy cop show
Sometimes he's too passive and other times he's making people pick a hand 😂
It’s the karate and zen attitude. He’s like an American ninja
Rvd is super high in this interview he has the eyes 👀 😆
Ever thought that TNT executives could have pushed for the firing? And TJ is just being a good boss and taking the blame, instead of being like,"TNT said,"
Yeah CM Punk is a diva. Hope to never see his face in AEW ever again, nothing but trouble and drama he brought in
100% aew fanboy.
If u cant see who the actual cancer was youve got problems
I love how dirtsheet sites hyped CM Punk return to WWE for weeks then WWE be like "Nah"
I STILL DO HIS SIGNATURE ROB VAN DAM HAND GESTURE WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
I listened to a podcast with RVSD, i realized that he read every comment, came a cross bit resentful
Like “oh who cared about the bag getting moved?” “It was Phil” “ahh yes of course it was…”
Also I don’t think anyone is expecting an RVD interview to be super insightful.
@btdaniels9028 CM Punk is notoriously toxic and that's why he got fired from TNA in early 2000s.
@@jamesroy9657 again y’all are loud and wrong. He QUIT TNA because of the Rob Feinstein scandal where he wanted to wrestle for ROH and they wouldn’t let him
@@btdaniels9028 no I'm not loud or wrong mark. Nope CM Punk got fired from starting fights with Teddy Hart in TNA. It had nothing to do with the Rob Feinstein stuff. I should know I'm a former pro-wrestler who helps train the future of this business and my family has been in the pro wrestling business since the 70s when they wrestled in WCCW and my little brother is a graduate of Harley Race's world league Wrestling Academy. I shared the same Locker rooms as CM Punk and seen it up and close. So wrong again. I have friends in all these companies and you don't. So again another marks and Fanboy that doesn't know what he's talking about like the rest of you who have never been in the business
Cm punk is the Larry David of wrestling
They don’t mention he’s Taz’s son? Since when?
How RVD described CM Punk is basically, narcissism.
His line is written in bold ink but he goes on promos about how he doesn't care about crossing other people's lines
RvD is really wise dude. It's nice listening to him.
Is Robs mouth ok? It seems half closed when he talks? .. could be an injury?
RVD is being too humble because him being passive in that type of moment tells us that Punk was being a PoS for no reason. They weren't moving his bag. They told him in advance they were sliding it down in the overhead compartment, but he wanted to be a moist flushable wet wipe of a butt stain
he had immature dipsh*ts constantly spreading rumours about him, you try and be passive about that
@corvaliis nope you had grown ups telling the truth about CM Punk and CM Punk couldn't handle that and couldn't handle being caught in his bull crap and not getting his spoiled entitled way. CM Punk was trying to pull back stage Politics as normal and expected the company to be booked around him and it being all about him. CM Punk is the immature one that has started fights wherever he's went and that's why he got fired from TNA in the early 2000s. CM Punk started fights and problems whenever it didn't go his way and he didn't get what he wanted
@@corvaliisif you listen to and believe rumors that’s immature. That’s something teenagers do. Punk never grew up and can’t do business without immaturity
@@corvaliisdo you know of a lot of huge stars who get abruptly fired from 2 separate promotions?
The guy is obviously a massive dickhead, to the point where people literally don't want to be in the same room as him
You're acting like he hurled slurs at the flight attendants, its not that deep
What are the pops behind RVD?
I live my life like him . Every time I hear him talk it as far as me just like him
7:27 it's interesting how even as he was talking in his voice he sounds just like Punk.
Theres a lot they can do with that FTW Title now. If Hook lost it to RVD then won it back, it would've super solidified its worth just by that lineage. Darby, MJF, Adam Copeland(Edge), Christian, Swerve, Cassidy, Matt Riddle(if AEW were to ever sign him) could have a run with the FTW Championship as well.
Did Bill claim AEW hasn’t mentioned that Hook was Taz’s son?
if people saw pictures of Punk with stone cold or Red hair spikes they would immediately understand why he does not let people walk all over him & hes got every right to be that way when he at the time got in a business full of bullies, shady people & backstabbing mfs he has a take no shit attitude
We MAY finally get the dream match Steve and Phil often talked about wanting....wrestling each other.... that is if the WWE talks (which are now confirmed to be taking place) go well.
*HE'S NOT EVEN FROM CHICAGO AND HE'S NOT A TOUGH GUY = WHAT'S THERE TO LIKE* ?
Nope in fact CM Punk is that way because he's an insecure spoiled little cry baby that has ego and pride issues and is a mark for himself and only about himself and think everything should be booked around him and throws fits and start fights and quits when it doesn't go his way. CM Punk has no right to be that way and disrespected the veterans to help make this business because they didn't do what he wanted. So you're wrong
I believe Collision was created 'because' of CM Punk not 'for' CM Punk.
I wonder if RVD jokingly asked Hook to pick a hand 😂 and then said alright this is the hand I'll use to tag you into the match 😉...
Why's my bag gotta move tho?
i mean, that's a proper question, "whys my bag gotta move" if it fits on one side, it fits on the other side
The only places that Punk burn bridges was AEW Lol
I would've loved to see Punk fight Rob. LMAO I'd pay to see it lol
4:08 RVD started rolling a blunt
Wow don’t know what to say but I guess there’s two sides to every story but Cm seems to live to his name
Rvd definitely has a future as a top tier babyface manager/coach
RVD 🔥
bill apter the freaking legend, respect sir. RVD rules!
Rob is an incredible human being!
Whole FN SHOW!!!!!!!
ok, less than a minute in and Bill Apter says that aew hasnt mentioned that hook is Taz's son on tv alot? WHAAAT??!?!?! They say it like all the time. They were in a stable together. What show is Apter watching?!??!
I would hate to meet cm punk probably end up fighting
Definitely, especially after I flirt with his girl
@@MediCali951Based on all the girls CM Punk has been with I think you'd be more worried about him flirting with your girl than the opposite.
That Punk opinion was the most politically correct statement I've ever heard. I don't see how anyone could be offended by that, and it seemed totally true at the same time. Dude should run for president.
