      Popular opinion: HHH, a bodybuilder that once carried bags for Hall and Nash, had no business ever dumping Chyna and worming his way into the McMahon family, which put him over for life and made him a company boss. Nobody ever bought a ticket to listen to a stock, boring, long-haired roider hold a belt and blab on the microphone for 5 minutes, they paid to see everyone he worked with. Mark Henry had more talent and personality come out of his butt that HHH had come out of years of promos.

    The Brothers of Destruction having their prime in the 80's and early 90's would have seen great matchups. Road Warriors, Demolition, Powers of Pain, Natural Disasters, Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Twin Towers, Andre/Haku, Brain Busters, Headshrinkers, Mega Powers, and The Rockers just to name a few.

    I understand what taker means how Kane needed to be an asshole sometimes regarding business cuz he was just such a Class Act and respectful , it makes total sense of how and why his legacy isn't as decorated and revered as other big names. Kane was the total package, So massive that he had his own climate, so much aura that it had a gravitational pull of your attention when he's just standing in the background never saying a word. Because he had zero ego he didn't care about the spotlight, he didn't care about the Wrestlemania moments , he especially didn't care when they turned his dark persona into comedy, he never competed for a legacy cuz he was that loyal to the business and to the people who gave him his last opportunity and he's awesome for that but as someone who got into wrestling at 6 years old because I was obsessed with the Mystique of Kane, I was pissed of how they constantly reduced his character and wasted him over the year's. I always felt like he should have been a character as revered as Taker, like how does someone who has the most Royal Rumble eliminations has never won a Royal
    Rumble? Lol It's stuff like that burns me up, no pun intended

      After a while kane and bigshow became guys for John Cena to deliver his Attitude Adjustment. Whenever they wanted to make their topstar strong ,he is fed with kane/ bigshow and most prolly there will be a powerslam spot with either of them. And speaking of rumble, we all knew after a while that neither of them are going to win it. That was my disappointment in childhood.

      @@snakepliskin722After Corporate Kane was beaten to pulp by Seth Rollins with steal chair, kane was carried into an ambulance. But he opened the door and came back as Monster Kane himself and beat the shit out of Rollins. That's a goosebumps spot. It made me realise how big of a star kane is compared to Rollins. But in the next payperview for wwe title ,kane was defeated clean by Rollins and as usual,all of kane's momentum subsided ones again.

    Love this podcast, I honestly love Undertaker! You are amazing! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to your craft and for entertaining us fans. I am sorry to make you feel old. I first saw your entrance when I was a kid, and I was watching WWE with my papa. I was just in awe with your entrance and ever since then I been hooked on WWE. The brother of destruction is one of my favorite story lines of all time. I always keep going back to watch it. Kane is also amazing. With much love, thank you so much to the both of you making such an impact on me and for encouraging me to always keep pushing forward no matter how hard life gets. Thank you Matt for making this podcast happen, can’t thank you enough! I always enjoy hearing all the stories about wrestling. Big fan of many other wrestlers over the years, but you undertaker and Kane are my favorite. I wish you all the best and you guys deserve what you earned all the love you have got over the years. You guys care about your fans and it shows. Thank you so much.

    My favorite run for the Brothers of Destruction was throughout most of 2001 from Royal Rumble to Survivor Series, they still managed some singles rivalries but their chemistry truly dominated especially within the WCW/ECW-Alliance arc.

    It was crazy I just got done watching a bunch of compilations and clips for the brothers of destruction and one of the things I found so cool was the fact that you all were just a dominant tag team to the point to where the two man power trip knew once you got involved they needed to change the game plan

    Mark’s not wrong, but I would add they were both way too good on their own to keep them together for too long. It’s like I love pizza but I can’t live on it. I love BoD but eventually Taker and Kane have to do their own thing to get the most out of those characters.
    The ONLY team that could REALISTICALLY hang with BoD would have been LoD in their prime as long as Hawk had his head on straight, I don’t imagine Mark taking kindly to any of his bull.

  • @kwikdraw7332
    @kwikdraw7332 2 місяці тому

    I think that even if you take away the size of BoD, the aura of Kane and Undertaker probably could have been enough to carry them as well. Both characters were deemed as unstoppable, immortal monsters. When you put that idea in people's heads for a character, that character cannot just lose to anyone on the roster, but when you put two of those characters together AND their backstory is being brothers, it's REALLY hard from a storyline perspective to justify them losing.
    Maybe if Taker and Kane were smaller, it could have been more justified to put them in that Dudleyz/Hardys/E&C league, but even then, it just would not make sense for them to lose very often based on their gimmicks alone.
    It was an amazing idea, and maybe one of the best ideas WWE has ever: putting two estranged brothers, one of whom tried to kill the other, together as an unstoppable force that also happens to be an immovable object.
