So Type O Negative has a ton of Black Sabbath influence. You'll even hear the Beatles pop in here and there. They covered "Paranoid", and "Black Sabbath", But their's is from the Satanic perspective, by Black Sabbath. They recorded "Pictures of Matchstick Men" with Ozzy And Peter Steele did "Just Say No to Love" with Tony Iommi. Just some stuff you should check out.
They have both the original version, and the Satanic Perspective version, for the Black sabbath song. :) They also covered the Beatles Daytripper, and Hendrix's Hey Joe (called it Hey Pete).
If you're just discovering type o negative you don't know what you're missing. It's my favorite band ever this is their last album from 2007 and all their albums are different. For new comers I would recommend starting with their 3rd album bloody kisses although my favourite is their fourth album October rust that's the one with in praise of bacchaus my favorite song is red water there's nothing else like it or like this band period

So, I've been thrashing around finding the heavy and ........creepy(?) for a LONG time, my children are older than you 😁🤣. Have you checked out any Mercyful Fate or King Diamond yet? "Satan's Fall", "Into the Coven" or "Evil"?
Man, I gotta tell ya' if you really like Bacchus that much you need to listen to all of October Rust. Bacchus is probably my favorite Type O song but if you get into it as well then you would love Rust. Reaction or not I don't care but I love seeing people discover new music and Rust is tough to beat. Cheers! (Btw-in interviews these cats all stated their favorite bands as Sabbath, Kiss, and the Beatles. You can definitely catch some Sabbath here as well as a little Beatles in a couple spots.)
