Nice video! I just want to mention another trap in the Bird Variation: After exchanging the knights and castling, I've had a few games where Black played a6. Here you also go Bc4, and then most people play b5, which is a big blunder because of Bxf7+. After Kxf7, White has Qh5+ and no matter what Black does, you're going to get Qd5+, forking the king and the rook on a8.
@@rituparna7059 I play e5 but it is not a very sound opening and KID is a good opening but I don't have a good win percentage with it, I'll try the others thx🙏
Love the video Volclus! Changed my mind about it being boring haha i always play the Jaenisch gambit against it but now I have something new to worry about 😂. I think many people would love to see a video like this on the dragon Sicilian, keep it up love your videos 🔥
you can do it by yourself ~~~that's a good suggestions... thanks dude.. .but vlocus lecture hits so hard . .. but nimzo is not universal , i mean you can't play it against everything.
@@SVNTHR737your opponent can avoid the nimzo with 3.Nf3 or 3.g3, and unless you know the Bogo Indian, delivering the check is a bad idea. So no, within d4 the QGD is way more universal, they cant dodge it without playing the London, Colle, etc. Plus Trompowsky attack.
guys only play the ruy lopez at 1300+ this opening is too advanced for you. I am 1500 and i have a 71% win rate with this opening, its so good. but for 1300 and lower dont use it.
@BrawlhallaBoy Below 1600 you really don't need to indulge into openings, beside that ruy lopez is really fine for all players, the reason because of that is even if you don't learn theory (which players below 1600 should not do) this opening makes practical sense and it allows for the basic chess patern of taking center and castling quickly.
There’s no elo limit on chess openings. Even if u2000 ruy players are bad at the opening so are the opponents, and I don’t think much changes after you cross that elo barrier. It’s much better to play the ruy lopez early and build a solid chess foundation than play some shitty system opening like london.
@@rituparna7059That is bullshit. To get a clear advantage you need to play better moves than your opponent, the idea that "you have to make inaccurate moves to have a clear advantage" is ludicrous. This has nothing to do with elo, to beat a 2300 you just need to make better moves than a 2300, to win against a 1600 you need to make better moves than a 1600, inaccuracies are never needed, the fact that weaker players are less likely to punish some inaccuracies also has nothing to do.with this.

Thank you for the book in the sicilian all variations video!

Last night my brother ask me for the ruylopez because of my ruy Lopez u delivered it ❤ full support
thank you for putting this video out, volclus!
most videos doesn't cover enough as you do!!!
I recommend ruy lopez for begginers. Its a good opening for beginners.
it's not good for beginners bro
Best opening teacher
Is there guides to modern benoni as black? How to counter french and carocan as white? Those are the ones I'm trying to learn.
3.nc3 against both french and caro kann are critical lines I think.
studied ruy lopez litterally 80 percent chance of winning for me nice tutorial
9:00 Bb3 is more accurate and probably better, because you prevent them from playing d5 and avoid a lot of marshal like lines
will definitive study this whenever i find the time, great vid :)
Have you studied it yet?
Can you do the nimzo indian?
Dude this is exactly what I needed
Could we please have a opening video of the wonderful ware!/j
Really good video! Can you make a video on what to play against D4 as I struggle a lot against it. e4 I can handle caus your video on caro kann
Play kings indian or nimzo even you can try e5
Nimzo Indian is super good
He made a video on Budapest gambit
@@rituparna7059 I play e5 but it is not a very sound opening and KID is a good opening but I don't have a good win percentage with it, I'll try the others thx🙏
@@speederman9513 I'll check it out 👌
Your channel and the chess giant is BY FAR the best channels for chess openings even much better than that 200 elo gotham chess
From now on, I will play the Ruy Lopez Attack because I have nothing to worry about.
That's my best attack as White.

BRO NEED A QGD NO NONSENSE BEGINNER GUIDE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
you can do it by yourself
just play nimzo

@@MinecraftGamer-hl8hk acutally nimzo is prob as universal as qgd, but qgd is just simpler

fishing pole trap is quite tricky

make a scotch game/gambit or a duetz gambit
Ngl bro's like Eminem if he was a chess coach, but still, very entertaining!
Thanks dude
ruy lopez is actually the best opening according to stockfish.
Can you make a video about e4 e5 for black pls
he only makes videos for good openings
if you need a YT vid to learn e4 e5 then you shouldn't play that :v
e4 e5 is not an opening
@@teh_kaczuch that is literally how I learn every opening. What's so different about this one
@@joycongrip 1... e5 is the best response acc. to stockfish
Good opening.
Thank you
IN THE RUY LOPEZ YOU WANNA KEEP YOUR LIGHT SQUARED BISHOP NEVER EVER LEAVE IT GET CAPTURED
Thanks
but isn't a royal fork coming at ( Berlin defense) 6:06
Nah cause the knight is pinned to The king
FINNALLY DUDE
dislike so my enemies wouldn't see it :D, jk so good! the firend is back

Any sub 2000 that plays the ruy likely does it really badly and doesn't play main lines.

@@vikrat8972I agree with everything except if you’re a low elo what’s stopping you from studying two openings top to bottom and skyrocketing your elo
This opening destroys black if they don't know the counter play
the ruy lopez has so much theory I doubt a beginner can survive playing this 💀
It's not that hard to play honestly, just need to know the principles well.
bro these variations are risky and the eval bar is saying it, just reccomend the main lines, which i have the most succes it
To get clear advantage sometimes you need to make 1-2 inaccurate moves and it's ok
For -2300 elo players
