I recall the chess explainer was Shelby Lyman on public TV was giving me my initial lessons ......Thank you for continuing education here as a historical sort of presentation
Stockfish 17 would beat Fischer 999-1 easily!! Fischer vs Geller in 1967 17:exf7?? By Fischer! 17:Rook f6! Wins easily! Fischer vs Stein famous Bishop f5! But earlier 26:Knight f3?? 26:Knight f7! Or 26:a3! Wins easily! Fischer vs Larsen game one in 1971 Fischer played Bishop f3??? Bishop d6! Wins easily! Fischer vs Spassky in 1966 olympiad Fischer played Queen a6?? Rook e3! Wins easily! Morphy Tal Alekhine Kasparov had More beautiful games than Fischer!!
I don't recall to whom the quote "Like milking the cow" is attributed but it may be the main reason Black plays the Caro-Cann, French, & Sicilian Defenses.
i happen to know the first game very well, I had Gligoric's book about the match. If you'll look at the evaluation bar you'll see that it jumps for white but you don't say why. Fischer should have played f4 earlier to stop black going g5. When he does play it it's game over. Even at the highest level you see fundamental mistakes by both players, something you'd never see today.
In some of the games we might see the beginning of earlier game sacrifices, which revealed a lot in recent decades, but that generation probably hated that so they did later, dramatic sacrifices in end game.
Almost relief he went crazy later in life because that's a sick level of thoroughly understanding the tactical positions. Lopez looks like toughest strategy in chess. People now can study Fischer games and get fraction of his grasp, but that's still a lot for now. Meanwhile covering that even in 1993, with SOME computer programs, MAYBE, is like autopsy of game.
It was interesting seeing the favorite opening of the great JR Capablanca, Ruy Lopez, so favored by Fischer. But I doubt Capa would have pushed his King side pawns so early as Fischer did, just to take his opponent out of familiar territory. That was a serious gamble by Bobby.
historic performance, to much verbatim analysis it, confused viewers let them do their thing, as people watched their duel. Their board is already transparent to wrapped up this game. Oh well, nice presentation

Very exciting!!!
Thankyou Mike great analyses, enjoyed all the games.
Great analysis.
Bobby Fischer was the first human chess engine.

Absolutely wonderful games...

Lord Bobby 🗿

He was always crazy, even as a kid. Serious history of mental illness in his family

JUZ MAMY TWORCZOSC!!!!!!!!!!!!DZIEKUJEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!MAREK.
why di we have to see your face all the time instead of amplifying the board for better look?
WOW, it never occurred to me, but it's true! More board is better.
That’s just rude, if you need to see the board better, get some glasses
Just look at the board weirdo. Why are u staring at him. Creepy.
Why do you have to be rude?
A master class
It's remarkable that Spassky missed Re4 x b4. Although Bd4 is problematic for black since the e rook becomes active
Can someone explain to me why Spassky can't play NxP (e4) after Fischer castles?
12:00 after blacks Qc7 e5 Qc6
Where did you go? @ 25:45 ?!?!?
To piss
He forgot to pause the recording. JUST DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN!
How about Bd7 instead of blunder Bb7
1:39:05 how about Bf4
Qb8 in the first game was a mistake, it just looks wrong and it is wrong. Karpov played the right move, Rb8 against Ljubojevic in 1976.
Computers love h6! Or Rook c8! Queen b8???
The 2nd game is 1992 match that u say?
Spassky was 162nd world ranking and rated 2550 in 1992!
his name is pronounced Glig -or-itch not glig -or- ic
I think best is Qc5 1:52:19
Too many unnecessary words
So tired of this elongated explanation of what you're playing
Fischer is narrating?!? 😮
Good video, but expand your vocabulary :) the number of times you said the words brilliant and idea was too much.
You speaking to much ...stop please
