Cheers for this mate! Played a blitz tournament today and got to play the Kings Gambit twice and won both games (one was a Falkbeer, the other a KGA with 3. ...Nc6) 🎉
In the 5... Nf6 variation of the Kieseritzky, a really interesting and fun try is 6.Bc4. This is probably a bit worse at engine level, but it is actually a lot of fun to play. The main line continues 6... d5 (what else?) 7. exd5 Bd6 8. d4 Nh5 9. Nc3!? (a move suggested by John Shaw in his book on the KG which I own. 9. O-O is the best move but this is move fun) 9... O-O (9... Qe7 is also wild) 10. Ne4! f5 11. Ng5 where white has a fun attacking position. A main line continues 11... Nd7 12. Qd3! Nxe5 13. dxe5 Bxe5 14. Bd2 Ng3 15. O-O-O Nxh1 16. Rxh1=/∞. White, for the price of an exchange and a pawn, white has a very fun and active position. I cannot prove who is better but, as a mediocre 1150, I would probably pick white.

these are better, muzio is very fun but if black plays 4. Bg7 instead of 4. g4, it's basically always a miserable time.
