I think klay is one of the scariest in the NBA. If he gets hot, you might as well head to the locker room. And yea, the spurs second unit is pure greatness, this is the only advantage that they have over the warriors. It's gonna be a great game!

Tod Wilkinson yea Leonard may be the best option for klay. But there have been games since KD has been out where klay was off and someone else stepped up, like Draymond, Ian or iggy. I think that this game will come down to whichever team comes out with the most energy. Since they are so similar with great talent, this is the only thing that will give one of them the edge.
The only advantage....Well, their defense is pretty impressive overall, and better than GSW. Yes, GSW is a great defense team as well, but not as much as the Spurs... Yes, it should be a good game!

In those last two games, I feel like Golden State had an advantage over Cleveland. GSW blew a lead on Christmas but were handling CLE most of the game, Kyrie made an amazing shot to get that win. It was just one of those moments. A great shooter made a great shot. Klay defended him as best as he could. Adjustments were needed.
On MLK Day Golden State showed those adjustments and blew them out. Kyrie tried that same shot against Klay and got it stuffed this time. Klay defended it just as good as last time. Maybe he jumped a little higher or Kyrie jumped a little less but it didn't work out.
Cleveland has been collapsing defensively as of late. They have the offensive firepower to beat anyone but if GSW continues playing top tier defense and Cleveland doesn't step it up at least a little, they won't win a series.
I don't know that the whole "psycological advantage" thing stands up considering how the most recent game went. We'll have to see if they both make it to the finals though honestly I have doubts either of them will make it. The West is too competitive with those top 3 seeds and Cleveland has been playing sh*** enough that Washington or Boston could possibly take them out.

Nobody can predict Draymond getting suspended or Bogut getting injured, or even the league rigging the Finals especially Game 6.
The Chosen One #LOB #GoHawks Kyle Korver did pretty much what he always does. The dude is an amazing shooter but he averages like 12 points for his career and if I remember that's about all he put it. His production that game, and so far this season really, is on par with his career numbers. He's also a liability on defense. I don't know why anyone expected anything different.

Everyone likes to just pretend like the cavs were so much better and the only reason GSW won in 2015 was an injured kyrie and love. While it was true that's why they won that year, LAST year, GSW was up 3-1 on a fully healthy cavs roster with an injured curry, injured iguodala, a bogut that couldn't play the most important games, and a suspended draymond green, with festus ezeli and barnes choking their faces off. Even then, it STILL came down to just a few possessions.

Skip never picks the Spurs on these big match ups because when they win, he can bash the losing team with whatever he likes. That's what he always does. And then says 'Hey, I picked the Cavs/GSW/Rockets/Celtics to win but so and so played horrible, choked etc.

CLE has the Warriors number? lol. Why is Skip bringing up a game that took place 3 months ago, that the Warriors lost by only 1 point, at the end of a road trip. Remember when CLE went to GS a month or two after that? They got spanked by 25 or 30 pts. CLE does play physical, but it's not like the Warriors can't score on them. They have KD. CLE has no answer for him. He feasted in both games this year.

Cavs got lucky last year with Draymond suspension and Bogut going down in game 4. As key is Draymon to the team, Bogut was the starting center who was a low post threat and there was no serious center with warriors and cavs exploited it. Warriors lost the rhythm Game 6 and 7 without Bogut. If KD comes in before playoffs and the team quickly adjusts, there is no way they are going to lose to Cavs. This time I bet warriors are winning in 5 or 6. I actually think they would play Celtics. The only real danger to warriors would be Spurs in the conference final.

As much as I love the Spurs, the only way they would beat GS with KD is if they shoot really well cause they're going to have to make tough shots, most especially Aldridge, cause there's only one guy that can hold him on GS and that's Draymond. Usually the Spurs can break you down with ball movement, but GS has great defense. They rotate on time for the most part and don't over help.

I know this sounds crazy but what do you guys think about Kerr experimenting with KD by easing him into the starting lineup minutes-wise beginning with having him play with the second unit? Let's say maybe the first round of the playoffs or before? I really love the chemistry with the starting unit right now. McCaw obviously isn't KD but he has been phenomenal in the starting lineup with his 3 all star teammates in steph, klay, and draymond. Could you imagine the starting lineup remaining uninterrupted and then having a rehabbed KD coming off the bench for a little bit to add some scoring punch, solid defense, and all around game to the second unit? I imagine it'd be similar to what Kerr did during the Warriors' championship season when he had Iggy start coming off the bench to solidify the second unit. I'm not saying to keep KD in the second unit forever but I am curious to see if it would actually be beneficial for the Warriors during the playoffs. What do you guys think? Is this a sound argument?

I am a Cavs fan but Spurs make me nervous, I think against the Warriors LeBron makes KD Shrink, the depth on the Cavs is much deeper the GSW and Cavs have ways to hut Warriors down when they aren't so hot themselves. Spurs on the other hand are strong, tough and Kahwi steps up against the King, player for player the Spurs are comparable to the Cavs

Without Durant I think Spurs and Warriors are on equal footing. Since the Spurs are rested, and the Warriors just battled hard last night against the Rockets, I think the Spurs have an edge tonight. The Warriors can win, but it's an uphill battle. When Durant is back the Spurs are in trouble though.

Everybody knows when you add new pieces it takes time to gel the thing with the cavs is they added a lot of pieces and on top of that iman and jr have been injured for most of the year. Cavs have the luxury for being in the east so they have extra time to gel being that the east is weak now in the west you have to be ready right when the playoffs start

Why do they make such a big deal about the Draymond thing? When Mark Jackson was coach, Steph ran the point, and he shot a lower percentage and the Dubs never reached the finals. Steve Kerr comes in, and Draymond facilitates the ball at the top of the key. That's not because Steph doesn't know what to do with the ball, but that Kerr knows how to play to his players' strengths and how to establish a system that will last year to year. When the most athletic players on the team are also the best shooters, why wouldn't you do that? They run pindowns with "25" and "Hawk" play sets which puts the ball in Draymond's hands and gets Steph and Klay coming off screens. Once they get open, they spread the court out (further out than any team in NBA history), giving Draymond the freedom to drive to the basket. Plus, Iggy can fill that role too. That's called 'small ball', and it's what has made the Warriors great since 2014 and has taken them to two straight NBA finals. It's too bad that Skip has never realized that coaches have a role in the game, or that the actual players know a little more about basketball than himself. And, honestly, same goes for Shannon, too.

I said this when everyone was freaking out and feeling sorry for them after Durant got injured. They're basically the same team that won 73 games just a year ago. They lost Harrison Barnes, Bogut and Ezeli, and replaced them with McGee, Zaza, and Matt Barnes. When Durant returns they'll be back to being the most stacked team in NBA history.

Cavs only won like, 8 out of the 32 matchups they've played the Warriors in the last three seasons. Cavs win by an average margin of 3 points, and Warriors win by an average of 16... Unhealthy Warriors were up 3-1 on a fully healthy Cavs team, and Cavs only came back after a suspension and more injuries to Warriors players.... But "the Cavs are in their heads"???
