@@KuskBushcraft it was superb. Thanks again for taking so much care over presenting your passion to us....really informative, inspiring and entertaining as always man. 🇬🇧 🇨🇦
When camping, some fresh fruit is a tasty treat. And - kinda good for us too. Many fresh fruits are easy to crush or damage, think bananas or grapes. One that works for me is oranges. They can take rough handling and still be OK. Plus, they are still clean and edible inside theirs skin. Tangerines are just as nice. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
What a great guy, very calm and humble. As a fan of hiking and the outdoors in general, I love watching your videos. They are very therapeutic. Keep up the good work!
Similar to you, at the end of a day canoeing and or camping, I have a shot of single malt scotch and a cigar or corncob pipe. I celebrate having made it through the day, aye god! Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
I love your enthusiasm mate, it's definitely contagious. Its so nice to see someone genuinely happy with the simple things in life. We all should aspire to be more like you. Good luck brother!
By the queen! Do my eyes deceive me? A new overnight video from Kusk! We are saved my sisters and brothers! Rejoice! Love your content, thank you for posting!
A man after my own heart! Bushcraft, Burger, Tea, Whiskey, and Pipe... Like a BOSS! Love the videos Man, keep em coming! Something tells me, we'd get along famously! Slainté!
Your sleeping pad looks like the Walmart Special. It serves as a good general purpose pad if you either dig a shallow hip hole, or are on a thick debris bed. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
That blue pad makes a nice “easy chair” when you sit on it up against a tree. It’s long enough to have double thickness for a seat, and still have a padded backrest. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
Yes .. scientifically too .. well partially .. perhaps 😏. A 'hot spot' will be formed between you and the fire. That air will rise and be replaced by some of the smoke coming off the fire. Another reason for a screen behind a fire .. to draw smoke towards it.
I carry a large onion or two along, to add to foods. My supper is usually a tortilla with refried beans and diced onion. I get a pack of freeze dried refried beans, divide them into serving size, and put the servings into individual sandwich sized Ziplock bags. Add dried seasonings to each bag. In camp, I heat water, add some to a cup for tea, and some in the little bag of beans. While they rehydrate, I dice some onion onto a tortilla, and enjoy tea. I carry tortillas inside 2 plastic frisbees. Frisbees serve as a carrying case, plates, and toys. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
I really enjoyed this video and your easy-going manner and presentation. I liked the simplicity of the whole thing and yet you were comfortable and well-fed. I also watched your 4-part series on building your log shelter and it was very, very entertaining. Keep up the good work.
Another nice video! It’s good to see you enjoying a successful overnight. Everything from the bed to the bourbon, the burger, the bourbon, to tobacco, and building to a perfect evening, followed by a good morning. Thanks for sharing it will us! Be well, stay safe, and god bless.
I love your simple camp setup. Seems so calm. I have a small wooded patch at the back of my yard where I can try various ideas. I might try a setup like yours. Also liked your little talk about what you were smoking and what you like. God bless and keep trekking.
