You asked for a correction, so I will oblige!🙈 At 14:45, you mentioned how Seaport needs to be in play for you to gain its points (1 for every trade route), but actually, Seaport can be anywhere in your deck, discard, play area or history. Some cards might care where they are in order to score, but they will specify that in their text.
Thank you for sharing. My copy is arriving later this week. I really enjoyed the first 2 iterations and don't mind seeing this one packaged in a bigger box, which should have plenty of room for everything.
I really want Imperium but it will have to wait just a bit. I'm getting ready for the Galactic Cruise Kickstarter. I'm enjoying some big box games, but discovering my sweet spot (right now) are the solo-only, small/medium games. Perfect setup time and varying brain crunch, but in a package I can sit down and play from my couch after dinner. For different levels of mental crunch, I'm enjoying Mini Rogue, Warp's Edge, Exobase, Roll Player and Solar Storm (but that one I'm kinda "meh" on after my first play). Plus I got Four Against Darkness and am also really enjoying that RPG-lite game.
Honestly: if you gonna start the Imperium serie with horizon I would almost not recommend Classic and only Legends due to the complexity of the civs in these boxes. On the other hand a more natural progression of learning would be Classic, Legends then Horizons. Realistically: one only need horizons with its 14 civs: which means a year of playtime in this box.
Great video! What is the player vs. bot interaction during the game? Is it that the bot takes market cards, progresses the end-game trigger, and provides a score to beat? Is there more?
It’s full interaction. The Bot plays extremely close to a real opponent, taking cards, playing them, scoring points, trading and yes, it scores and you have to beat it to win. It plays each faction in a unique way and is very clever. Check out my solo play through video to see the full experience. Thanks!
Thanks for featuring Imperium (again 😀)
You bet! Great addition to the series!!! Thanks for making it!
This is indeed a special game with tons of replay ability.
Indeed!
Not in stores here yet. But as solo-games go Imperium: X is a masterpiece. Anyone who want to play solo shoudl try Imperium:.
Perfect timing, my copy comes Thursday!
As always thanks for the great content John!
You got it!
Looks fantastic. I'm glad I have a copy on the way.
And great job, John! I always enjoy your reviews.
You’ve made it clear that I need this to go with Legends.
Very informative for those like me who have still not grabbed this game. Thanks for this.
Perfect! That was my intent!
I just love it. And be sure to read the FAQ and any errata on BGG. Firmly in the top 10 for 2024
I need to see if the FAQ covers things in Horizons or is the instructions enough. Was there any errata in the new version?

Thanks! I did verify this later after I finished the video and you are correct. It all counts unless it says in needs to be somewhere.

Yes. It all fights sleeves in cheep sleeves as long as you toss the insert.

Good to know your limits and preferences! It will save you money!

When you do an exhaust do you also give up an action token? Never clear to me about this.
Not unless it specifically says so. Otherwise, exhaust does NOT count as an action.
@@JohnLaRuffa thanks for the replay :)
@jerryf196 you got it!
