This time yes about 2.5 years. I have sold off and on since 1999 but never really serious until 2.5 years ago and did it pretty much all by myself. I was working full time while building it up but went part time in July this year. I just really wanted to build it up to be able to go part time to spend more time with the baby! Welcome to my channel :D

You sound a lot like me. I have owned several businesses since I was 21 and can get bored easily but this is something I told myself that I wasnt going to give up on because the income is endless, you can work from home if you want, and you can work at the times it is convenient for you. Hard to do in a "job" setting. Plus you dont have to man the front counter all day. Ebay does that for you. I wish you continued success!
Yes I definitely get bored super easy! I agree the income is endless and the harder you work the more it will pay off! I used to sell in person but don't do that anymore as it is so time consuming to set up meeting times and places etc. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words.

I’m a nurse also and been selling On eBay very part time on since 2011. It’s amazing what you earn in such a short time. I’m going to start listing everyday now and model what you are doing as I want to leave nursing in the next couple years. Also just started affiliate marketing . Love being a nurse entrepreneur !

I’m a Paramedic that raised goats 😄 and my income budget is based on 14 24hr shifts a month and I’m looking to sell on eBay to help augment my income so I don’t have to work so much and focus on my farm. Yes I can't imagine having to pay for child care as high as it is now (My husband stays home with Dalton) I think if you look at the money aspect you very well might be better off doing it and being able to stay home with the kids :D

I quit reselling twice already right before I started gaining momentum. I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets bored so easily lol. I have sold clothing for 2 years and am scared to branch out into hard goods. My goal in 2021 is to learn the hard goods.
Great video!! One of the funnest parts of running an Ebay store is to find cool things to sell. We sell mostly video games and collectibles but have branched out into books and other random things as well. Thanks for sharing your story!!! We also started with a certain amount of money and just reinvested over and over until it multiplied to about 80000 of value in the last 6 months which is amazing!!! Once we hit about 100k of store listed value it will be enough to support two full time salaries with our sales so we are pretty excited about it. Keep up the good work Nurse! ;)
I needed this. I’m a nurse as well. I really want this to work for myself as well. I forced myself today to start learning about clothing. It’s doable. Heck, if I can be a nurse for 15 years on the floor, I can learn this! One day at a time!! Thank you for sharing!!!
I am not a big clothing person but I like learning specialty stuff within it like Hawaiian shirts, vintage stuff, and now the baby dresses that are vintage. I agree if you can tolerate 15 years on the floor you definitely can do this LOL. I am at 10 years on the floor right now !
I just watched this video and the one on vintage jewelry. I used to design jewelry, never repeating a design. And to my surprise (and I own one now) a lot of the pieces I designed looked like Miriam Haskell's and I'd never seen her designs before. Love your videos - you are fantastic!!! Best wises.

Sounds a bit like me! Full time as an RN, and a hobby farm for my then very young grandkids... they moved away, (to Florida,) grew up, are back locally, but not interested in anything but electronics. I'm too old and decrepit for all of the critter chores. I've had a spinal fusion procedure with revision, hardware in place. In between the 2 procedures I broke my wrist- like 13 screws were put in with hardware. Had an attack rooster 🐓, funny thing is his name happened to be "Stuart, (Stew for short!)

Wow! You sound like me. I have that same hussle mindset! I've tried all kinds of things. I used to sell my mom's handmade jewelry at flea markets, I have garage sales and am a reseller. I also get bored easily. I'm in a slump with reselling right now. One of my main issues is that I love to source because that's the fun part but I have a 700 ft² house with no room for storage. I do have a garage but I'm thinking about getting a big shed like you did. You're lucky that you have that big building to store things and because I've noticed that you said sometimes it takes a year or two to sell something but I feel like I can't keep bringing items in and keep them for that long because I don't have the space. I've been watching reseller videos for several months now and I think this is the best video that I've seen that I consider extremely helpful. Thank you so much for the information. I may jump all in and invest in a big shed and buy a pallet.
LOL yes sounds like we are simliar. I wouldn't suggest pallets though that is one thing I quit doing because I ended up with so much unsellable out of them and a lot of trash. Glad you found me!

This was a great video. Although some people still don't believe that people could sell so much on eBay. I could tell you I make a good amount of money as a part-time seller. Sometimes it kills me to know that people that I know isn't making ends meet and when I show them that they can make money on eBay they just look at me like I'm crazy. The more time you put into it you make a lot of money in return. I do videos on my channel I try to explain more on how to research instead of showing people things that they need to buy. Research is so important because you could watch a video a year from now seeing what people are buying and if you don't do your research and just buy whatever they're showing that cannot be selling at that time. As much as I like to make videos I'm so overwhelmed with my full-time job and my eBay. I don't know how you do it cat but you're doing a great job.
Yes I do the same and they just don't want to put the work in to make it happen unfortunately :( It is hard to get videos in as well. I was doing daily and went down to 3 per week. Maybe try one per week?

That was really great video on the overall picture of reselling. I also have quit things when they didn’t go the direction I wanted fast enough. You were very transparent like you always are. I think the phrase identify with other resellers don’t compare yourself to them is really true here and the reselling community is awesome so plugging in to them is important for my motivation. I told myself out of the gate that I wouldn’t even try to evaluate reselling until 1 year in. I am taking this journey slow and steady fo4 the long haul! Thanks so much! 💕

After watching that video I found this one and would like to start selling on eBay. I did have an account years ago. Only listed & sold one or two items and now I have a few more items I need to get rid of and they're not selling locally (I'm in Denver CO) on Offer Up. Haven't tried the shipping option with them though because I wasn't sure of the expense. And now I will check out your other videos and see if I can't find a few more buyers for my antique items! I quit reselling twice already right before I started gaining momentum. I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets bored so easily lol. I have sold clothing for 2 years and am scared to branch out into hard goods. My goal in 2021 is to learn the hard goods.
Clothing overall is such a slow sell through, I think you'll do great branching out!! I definitely even still get bored LOL!

Great video!! One of the funnest parts of running an Ebay store is to find cool things to sell. We sell mostly video games and collectibles but have branched out into books and other random things as well. Thanks for sharing your story!!! We also started with a certain amount of money and just reinvested over and over until it multiplied to about 80000 of value in the last 6 months which is amazing!!! Once we hit about 100k of store listed value it will be enough to support two full time salaries with our sales so we are pretty excited about it. Keep up the good work Nurse! ;)

I am not a big clothing person but I like learning specialty stuff within it like Hawaiian shirts, vintage stuff, and now the baby dresses that are vintage. I agree if you can tolerate 15 years on the floor you definitely can do this LOL. I am at 10 years on the floor right now !

I just watched this video and the one on vintage jewelry. I used to design jewelry, never repeating a design. And to my surprise (and I own one now) a lot of the pieces I designed looked like Miriam Haskell's and I'd never seen her designs before. Love your videos - you are fantastic!!! Best wises.

Sounds a bit like me! Full time as an RN, and a hobby farm for my then very young grandkids... they moved away, (to Florida,) grew up, are back locally, but not interested in anything but electronics. I'm too old and decrepit for all of the critter chores. I've had a spinal fusion procedure with revision, hardware in place. In between the 2 procedures I broke my wrist- like 13 screws were put in with hardware. Had an attack rooster 🐓, funny thing is his name happened to be "Stuart, (Stew for short!)

I need to start selling more hard goods and less clothes...I make about 3 to 4k a month...
Clothes can do good but the higher priced are primarily the vintage ones from what I've seen!
Yes, but not everyone can source clothes. Repairs are a concern on porcelain and such.

Wow! You sound like me. I have that same hussle mindset! I've tried all kinds of things. I used to sell my mom's handmade jewelry at flea markets, I have garage sales and am a reseller. I also get bored easily. I'm in a slump with reselling right now. One of my main issues is that I love to source because that's the fun part but I have a 700 ft² house with no room for storage. I do have a garage but I'm thinking about getting a big shed like you did. You're lucky that you have that big building to store things and because I've noticed that you said sometimes it takes a year or two to sell something but I feel like I can't keep bringing items in and keep them for that long because I don't have the space. I've been watching reseller videos for several months now and I think this is the best video that I've seen that I consider extremely helpful. Thank you so much for the information. I may jump all in and invest in a big shed and buy a pallet.
LOL yes sounds like we are simliar. I wouldn't suggest pallets though that is one thing I quit doing because I ended up with so much unsellable out of them and a lot of trash. Glad you found me!

This was a great video. Although some people still don't believe that people could sell so much on eBay. I could tell you I make a good amount of money as a part-time seller. Sometimes it kills me to know that people that I know isn't making ends meet and when I show them that they can make money on eBay they just look at me like I'm crazy. The more time you put into it you make a lot of money in return. I do videos on my channel I try to explain more on how to research instead of showing people things that they need to buy. Research is so important because you could watch a video a year from now seeing what people are buying and if you don't do your research and just buy whatever they're showing that cannot be selling at that time. As much as I like to make videos I'm so overwhelmed with my full-time job and my eBay. I don't know how you do it cat but you're doing a great job.
Yes I do the same and they just don't want to put the work in to make it happen unfortunately :( It is hard to get videos in as well. I was doing daily and went down to 3 per week. Maybe try one per week?

That was really great video on the overall picture of reselling. I also have quit things when they didn’t go the direction I wanted fast enough. You were very transparent like you always are. I think the phrase identify with other resellers don’t compare yourself to them is really true here and the reselling community is awesome so plugging in to them is important for my motivation. I told myself out of the gate that I wouldn’t even try to evaluate reselling until 1 year in. I am taking this journey slow and steady fo4 the long haul! Thanks so much! 💕

I too just found your channel... Your picture of the teacup one is where I started as the Shelley China Creator is from a member way back in my family line. Also my favorite color is purple! After watching that video I found this one and would like to start selling on eBay. I did have an account years ago. Only listed & sold one or two items and now I have a few more items I need to get rid of and they're not selling locally (I'm in Denver CO) on Offer Up. Haven't tried the shipping option with them though because I wasn't sure of the expense. And now I will check out your other videos and see if I can't find a few more buyers for my antique items! Thank you so much for your time and effort and what you do for us and especially the honesty of your sources and how to use them. I have subscribed today so I look forward to new informative videos!
