This logical pattern of thinking is very useful. I've done 7 fires for my business so far and made up some lie to try to protect their feelings everytime. I have to fire someone this afternoon and this one hurts a lot because I'm convinced she is trying her best but I've realized that she will never improve and be reliable due to her repeating the same mistakes over and over. I've been giving her chances to improve in her work and her communication with me for almost half a year. But I now understand that the more chance I give her, the less she cares and that she probably thinks she's irreplaceable due to my attitude. You've convinced me to just tell her as it is. The truth will probably serve her better. Thank you
I am a woman Founder and CEO and I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL and it is so needed for women leaders… I remember having to fire my first person and I love your discernment around the concept of of hiring and firing… can they train themselves?…. Also, how do you filter for culture…. Sooooooo good! Thank you… apathetic as a root cause… brilliant….Following my pattern… I think I fire to slow and I have to catch myself more!
Love this. Thanks so much for sharing. I just had to let 3 people go from my team today so I'm watching this and taking notes for future improvement in this process on my end.
Thank you for this Leila. Really helping put a framework around a situation I'm facing right now, and helping make my mind up about how to move forwards from here. The difficult conversation and owning what is my fault first is clearly the best way. Love your videos and sharing them with my team all the time!
Leila thank you for your videos they are very educational and informative they help me as a small business owner and there’s some stuff I need to do better as a leader I wouldn’t be getting closer to my goal without your videos so may God bless you and your husband in your business and life please don’t stop making videos 🙏👍
What I absolutely love about this is the humility: Paraphrasing -- "It is not completely this person's fault, it probably has something to do with that I have not developed the skill to coach you yet."
Great inxight for so young, huge understanding of the sociology of humsn beings which not many people even CEOS have am unemployed myself for the last 15 years due to illness maybe i need tomaccept that im fortunate to live on 175 dollars a week, autistic since birth i dont think im worthy of a paid job now but autism nervousness in social situations no friends orbsocial contacts doesnt help. I dont deserve compassion or assistance from anyone i am much more fortunate thsn other neurodivergent people in Ireland who get little to no support
Leila, Willie Mays went 0 for 50 at the beginning. The owners wanted to send him down to the minors. The mgr convinced the owners to keep him. Need I eleborate?

How did it go?
Love this.... In the beginning most of my fires were, "I don't know if its me or you, but I can't fire me so you gotta go." Feels horrible
savage

This isn't a woman so your comments are not relevant.
Leila sexy as hell.
What do you mean
Why do you have to specify you are a woman CEO ? Aren’t you just a CEO
@@kishibelunatik it says I am a woman founder…. AND CEO…
@@vickiehelm7635 you need to specifiy woman ? why is that relevant ?
SO happy I found your channel, Leila. Thank you & Alex for the free content you’re delivering to founders 🙌
Thanks Leila! Clear communication and giving them a chance to earn their spot back is my biggest takeaway so far. Your content is gold by the way 🔥
Love this. Thanks so much for sharing.

Great stuff. I "discovered" you recently through Alex (who I also discovered recently), and am totally hooked on both of your videos. Keep it up!
The first time I fired someone, it was my first week being a fitness manager and I remember trembling handing their final check. Not fun.

As a small business owner/operator, thank you so much for this!
Timely content for me! Thank you, Leila. Really valuable.

I resonate with this a lot, I went through the same feelings the first time I had to fire someone.
Thanks for the advice time to execute on Monday. 😅
haha oh man 🙈🙈🙈
This is ethical leadership 👏
Thank you for the video. I Like how watching your videos + Alex's makes a killer content. ;)
Put up a closed sign on the building while they are gone for like a week and change all your numbers. 😆
lol
100% thank you
I just let someone go yesterday. Gave the individual a number of chances. They would do well for a few days and then straight dropped off.
Thanks for this content. Very helpful.
People that thrive on drama also have allot of other toxic issues it’s apart of the narcissistic type personality
Can you make a video on how you decide that it’s the right time to hire and how to define a role?
My new favorite channels are Leila and Alex 💯🙌
This is the voice Elizabeth Holmes wishes she had. Amazing insights as usual.

And thats why HR gets to be known as heartless. We have to do the hard work that no one else wants to do.
Thank you
Thank You.
So good!
Amazing video. Thank you
thanks Trevor!
Great video Leila!
Not everyone wants to climb during all seasons of life so coaching up or out will result in burnout or excessive turnover
Beautiful eyes and beautiful smile
woww this is what I need rn
When are you going to write a book . . . I'd read the hell out of it

Some people are late boomers.
