I'm not sure it was the only time, but I think it was the first. I recall them saying they thought it would mean more if it was presented by Gordon, who'd been with us on the journey, rather than a sports personality brought in just for that job.
Cheaper too, but I'm not sure they said that.

In 1989 they got an American person who organised a trip to America for the Grand Final Response round to present the trophy.
