Thanks for watching!! xx - Навчання та стиль
My top 10:- the 28mm fiscal rotary cutter, add a quarter ruler, with a Perspex ruler to go with,- it’s as thin as the ruler...machineingers quilting gloves, my 4 1/2 “ square up ruler, clips, - for binding, my seam-fix stitch ripper, my rotating mat, a godsend, binding tool, - from MSQC, open toe fmq foot.. I am in the UK🇬🇧 thank you for your interesting video's
I just ordered a hera marker tonight, after over 30 years of quilting ! I watched you use yours alot, and went in search of one for myself........and suddenly, they were sold out all over the place ! I just scored a couple tonight, from Etsy. If I really like it, like I expect to, I'm going to gift one to a friend ! Thanks for the inspiration, Amanda !
I love sew easy rulers too. I often use two rulers to line up larger pieces of fabric ready to sub cut. The 15 inch one comes in really handy for that and I use it all the time. I love hearing about aussie products too, we might have a chance of finding them in store!
Loved seeing you again Amanda! Also loved your video. Thanks!
I have the same iron! I absolutely LOVE it. When I saw the yellow version, I knew I had to have it.
I need to get the marker...I think it will save my machine from being thrown out the window lol! Ohhhh I did my first paper piecing log cabin and I learned it all from you 😊 I'm so freaking proud of my tiny block lol 😘
So helpful! Thanks, Amanda!
Those hangers were first used (as far as I know) in the early 20th century in the US. My grama used to work at a dry cleaners back in the 1950's and they used those among other kinds of trouser hangers. You are right, the hangers are cool. They hung the pants and skirts from the bottom and then there weren't any creases on the pants. Thanks for your list. Sometimes obscure things come around again for an entirely new use-at a higher price of course. See what kind of useless information can be bound rattling around in an old brain! :) Gale
Thanks for sharing such interesting information!! :)
Hello Amanda love your quits thanks. Faith Johnson.
I love my rotating cutting mat. I use the 12 inch Fiskars square version. There is also a smaller one. My glass head "Little House" pins are awesome for ironing.
Ooo, I love using my rotating cutting mat too! Such fun!! :)
The iron I have, love is a portable Rowenta with a collapsible handle. My space is tiny, so this works out for my small projects. For ironing, I use a combination 3-bin laundry holder (filled with yarn) that has a flip top ironing surface. I can’t afford the ‘wonder’ clips so I use miniature clothespins I found at Target. They’re great when you can’t use pins. The small quilting rulers are great for squaring off the corners on my bag projects. I haven’t hung them up yet, but I have two thread racks to put spools and their corresponding bobbins together on. If I had the room, there is sooo much more on my wish list...more space would be #1! : )
FYI, there are other clips that work just as well as the wonder clips and they are not as expensive. You can get them on Amazon they come in a cute tin and there are 100 of them in many colors for $10.00, if I remember correctly they are sold by Mumcraft. Hope this helps.

I love it thanks
Hi Amanda! I love your videos, this one included. I just wanted to leave you with a warning about the coat hanger from IKEA. I agree with you, they're great for hanging quilt blocks or anything light and thin but watch out if you try hanging anything too thick because the rubber "thing" that snaps the hanger closed breaks very easily :( The rubber thing also breaks over time, as I have had one hanger for about a year and the rubber just deteriorated on it's own and broke off. You'll probably not have that problem with hanging quilt blocks, but I thought this would be useful just in case you feel daring >D. Cheers!
Thanks for sharing this! I had a feeling that bit could be the first thing to go. I'll try to go easy with them and hope that they last!
Great video! The way you explain all these is so adorable :)
i know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Dorian Crosby Flixportal xD
@Sullivan Korbin thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :) I appreciate it!
@Dorian Crosby no problem :D
Clover wonder clips...how did I ever get along without them?
I know, right!? They're such clever little gadgets!
Hola. Me encantan tus trabajos. Las herramientas que muestras y los consejos que das sobre ellas son geniales.
Podrias agregar un subtítulo en español a tus videos, asi no me pierdo ningún detalle de lo que nos muestras. Saludos desde Argentina, Santa Cruz.
Hello
I have and use every item you mentioned except my rulers are by Omnigrid or Omnigrip. What is the slotted thing for on the bottom of the rectangular one and there was something on the 61/2 sq? I have the Oliso iron as well but I have the original blue/teal color it's probably 10 years old. As for the trouser hangers I have used them before but they were narrower than yours. I did just hang a quilt on the original hangers that you had so that I could take a picture of the quilt and I thought of you when I did it because you were the person I saw doing that. I have 3 sizes of rotary cutter but rarely use the 60mm one. I absolutely love my 120 inch measuring tape I used to make King sized quilts before so it came in handy/ What is the largest quilt you've made?
Thanks for sharing your favourite quilting tools! The slotted bit in the rectangular ruler is 1/4" marking line if you want to use it. On the 6.5" ruler is tape I put on it from a previous project. :)
The largest quilt I've made would have to be the one I made for my parents - it's a large queen size one!
Seam Ripper! Or is that just me? Lol
Amanda Davenport better finished than perfect. I only unpick clothes 😂
A definite essential to any quilting kit!!
And don't worry, I use mine more than I care to admit! :D
