basic listener doesn’t understand how difficult it is to write a song like this
I think this amazing track opened the gateway to rap for many people like me who had never really listened to rap before. The words, the narrative and his delivery are incredible. So atmospheric.
Eminem rocks. Heres a few more that you should do: Rock Bottom/ Cleaning out my closet/ Headlights/ Hailies Song/ Mockingbird/ Leaving Heaven/ Legacy. He has many good songs and manages to throw in alot of inspiration and heartfelt messages throughout. Best Friend is also amazing. Im a huge metal head. But Eminems talent and writing is genius with the pen work.
PS - this song was actually so big that they added the term Stan to the dictionary meaning a obsessed fan.

You MUST react to 'Bad Guy' next - it's the 'sequel' to Stan written over a decade later (there's only a lyric video) 🔥'Darkness' is also AMAZING - literally a MASTERPIECE - Em is THE GOAT!🐐 His rapping, rhyming schemes. double/triple entendres, storytelling abilities, his vocabulary is insane - he's like a walking dictionary/thesaurus - Genius is an understatement.

Like Alexia I never really got into rap either, but I loved this entire album when it came out...Definitely opened my eyes to aspects of the art form I had not appreciated, and heard all rap with different ears thereafter...

That last Stan verse always gives me goosebumps. Nobody writes like Eminem. He's a better lyricist now than ever! 10 years after this he wrote Rap God. React to that! Another 8-9 years after that he wrote Godzilla. And then the entire album of Music to be Murdered by is genius stuff.
There's no one who can put syllables together like him and the guy is ageless. New album drops this summer. He's the only artist ever with 10 albums all over 1 billion streams on Spotify. And the crazy part about that is his most successful albums came out when streaming didn't exist. This song in particular is one of his most famous because he performed it with Elton John at the Grammys. There was a lot of LGBT activists coming for him because he'd use the F slur in raps. But his rhymes are always off the rails attention grabbing stuff. Elton putting his neck out for Em was a really big deal. I remember watching it even at 17 and thinking how amazing that moment was.

I prefer Dido when she sings that song alone (it’s called “Thank You”), without Eminem. She’s also an angelic voice in Faithless song “One Step Too Far”.

She's a very underrated vocalist (except for her debut album that was huge internationally), even though she is still creating music, the U.S. market kind of fell out of favor (moving on to the next flavor of the week). But she has a very unique voice and put out some solid music of her own until her last album in 2019.

I like Dido and my kids have listened to Eminem I like some of his songs but sorry no offense just can't do the explicit...but if this channel is open to rap I am going to request some reactions in that genre...LL is my favorite
Great song. Don't know how Dido got to make any record though, her voice stinks.
The slurriest thing about the video are the unbearable background noises, which are only there to annoy. I don't have to have thunder or that disgusting pencil scratching in music.
I think the pence scratching to add to them writing letters was a great addition hat fit the song very well
