Hey buddy! Nice video. No matter how warm they say its going to be, when the water is in the 30's so is the immediate area. That cold air hugs the ground and low spots, move away from the river a bit and it goes right up a few degrees.
I am always jealous of your great fishing trips and opportunities. I think I mentioned this tip before but take a golf towel and hook it just inside your waders...as soon as you catch a fish, pull off your glove and bare hand him....then use the golf towel to warm your hands... great for the fish and you won't believe how much it keeps your hands warm. Great fish...you know how to target them...good job figuring it out.
Jerry Stebbins Hey Jerry! Thank you Buddy! I’m just fortunate to have such a nice work schedule to be able to fish as much as I do. Thanks for watching and commenting. Tight Lines!
Considering how windy its been out here in NM, I haven’t been trout fishing in weeks so watching others fly fish keeps me occupied when its not busy at the hospital lab where i work.
Rich Smidtke Ha! Hey Rich! One should be out tomorrow from my trip during the week but I have to work weekends, so tough to get it out over the weekend cause of editing. Stay tuned!
Hopefully another week or two and things stabilize. Luckily we didn't get a ton of snow here, so not as much melt to effect levels, like it is in PA. Another month and we will be in the thick of it :) Glad you fought the conditions to pick up a few nice fish. Congrats and hopefully I can find time to hit that area this spring/summer.
Tight Lining MD Hi Mike! Yea, it was fun but short lived, can’t believe how quick the creek rose and how cold the water was up there, toes were frozen! Thanks for your support. Hope to fish with you soon.
@@pawoodsnwater7551 No doubt about it Scott, we will link up. Once end of June or early July hits my week days open up. We will meet up a time or two this summer for sure. In the mean time give em hell, and I will take your word on the cold water. I have seen it happen before, but it was for a white water release below a dam, not snow melt :)
Some nice brownies and maybe 2 or 3 wild ones!! Good job braving the elements! Warmer days are coming ...but lets hope water levels are more friendly this year!
WildBlue Discovery Thanks Buddy! Yep, I’m all ready for bugs and hatches, now Mother Nature has gotta be nice and cooperative. Maybe see on the stream day. Have a fun year!
Yep...My Hero...Buddy you never ever fail to amaze me with your fishing expertise and you surely did not leave me down this time. Man I am so sorry I could not join you, but as you said there will be other times. The Brown trout were truly gorgeous as you stated, and to think with that many still hanging on in the B.Pine and what they are about to put in, is going to make for some great fishing (If Mother Nature permits it) this year. Tight Lines
Len Sherlinski Hey Len! Thanks Buddy! I always believe that there are a lot more holdovers than people think. This year should be good. Keep in touch. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Frankie Shoenfelt Yo Frankie! Thank you Bud! Never tried it on Little J, might have to give it a chance there too along with the Isonychia, might be in for a surprise. Yes, beautiful big fish.
“The tug is the drug “, so true ! Love the eagle pic ! Those browns are unbelievable! Kudos to you both for being out there & catching those beauties . I’d say your an addict !
James McClain Hi James! For this trip, I was using my Sage X 10ft/5wt, mainly because of nymphing big water and heavy tandem rigs but I have different nymphing rods for different situations. I think a good all around rod setup is a 10ft/4wt fast action, good for nymphing and dry flies. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Another great video! Thanks for sharing. You need to get a rod holder that clips to your belt!! The guy's at Lively legz sell the o pro brand one, it works great. Just sayin. Tight lines Scott!
Joseph Stella Hi Joe! Man! I tell ya, I bought two of them , I just can’t seem to get used to either of them. Guess I’m too set in my ways. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Joseph Dell Hello Joe! Don’t really know, but I’ve been out a lot this year so far and this was the first and only time I needed to get out of the water several times to warm up my feet, and it takes a lot to pull me outta the water, HA!
Great time on Pine Creek as always. Never get enough of those nice brownies caught!! Incredible brother!! Nice work Scott. Keep up the great videos!!
Thank you Brian! Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching and commenting.
Nice Scott! Looked Cold that day! Gunna try some Mop Flies in the future! Gorgeous scenery!
Thank you! Oh yes, Mop flies work, tan color with a dark collar and black bead is my favorite. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

1pcmedic Oh yea man! That morning water and air temps were cold! Wind made it even worse. Nice to hear from you, thanks!
Another one that I missed but I put the bell on this time thanks Scott.
Douglas Randall Ha ha! You’re welcome, you’re NOT going to want to miss the next video “movie”, out in a couple days.
Im off to slaterun tomorrow
Good luck Russ! Besides right above the bridge at Slate Run, try the upper part of Tomb Flats at the riffs, heard that area has been fishing well.

I fished all day today in northeastern NJ and was SKUNKED!!!
Vick Vinegar Hey Vick! Oh man, sorry to hear that! Guess you gotta take the good with the bad. Sometimes good just to get out on the stream.
PA WOODS N WATER yeah I hear ya. It just seems like you only have good days. I’m gotta work on my approach.
Always a fun time fishing with you Scott, and I usually learn something as well, looking forward to the next time, Bret
Kathy Umbel Hey hey Brett! What a great morning! Lots of fun. Can’t wait to hit Penns with you. I’ll be in touch. Thanks for your friendship!

I want to catch some of those beautiful browns ! I want to be an addict !

scott Barton I feel your pain buddy, we really only got one good morning out of it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Those beautiful browns were made possible through the brown trout club at wolfes general store. Slaterun.com. Keep making those awesome videos.
John Zydallas Hi John! You betcha! Gotta support the Brown Trout Club at Wolfe’s. Thanks for the reminder buddy!
Good to know , a big shout out to Wolfe’s General Store !
You forgot your olive oil spray once again , but I enjoyed the video as always , great job .
Rich Smidtke Ha! I know! Keep hoping I won’t need it, not coming prepared, dummy me 😝
