I am over 70 and no longer remember about adverbs, adjectives, participles etc, in my native English ( I wish I had had someone like you for a teacher). I also could not get my head around the complexity of the French verb groups until I found you Alexa. You are an amazing natural born teacher. I am relearning about English grammar alongside French. I can speak (albeit with a lot of grammatical errors which I was ignorant of), and understand French fairly well having lived in French speaking areas but only recently decided to read and write it, a totally, totally different ball game! After trying out several books, websites and UA-cam videos, you are the best. Your brevity, humour, accent and aptitude as a teacher is a gift. Thank you Alexa for your generosity and dedication. Seems like verbs with "prendre" as their main part drop the "d" when conjugated in present first person plural from, it's the same with "comprendre" (nous comprenons).
