First Time Reaction to Måneskin -TRASTEVERE

- I'm back after a crazy year. Lots of complications got on my way to be continuous, but here I am! Music producer reacts to everything.
Today I'm gonna go back to the incredible Måneskin, they just released an acoustic ballad type of song and I'm really curious about all of their new material. I totally dig Damiano's vocals here, showing a lot of range and beautiful tone. I also dig all the desitions at the mixing, recording, production and arrangement, really top notch.
Their talent and musical honesty really resonates with me, so I hope you enjoy my small analysis from the point of view of someone who loves creating and listening music aswell.

Trastevere is a very famous district in Rome

Damiano (singer) said in an interview that the first part of the song is a pact with the Devil while in the second part is the successful attempt to break it.
Trastevere which gives the song its name is a very traditional neighborhood of Rome (there are fortune tellers, stalls of all kinds etc etc).

Really cool reaction! I love getting commentary from professionals. Some background on the video: it was filmed in an abandoned hotel in Mexico while they were on tour, in between gig days. They filmed other three music videos the same day, so I imagine they had to do the best they could regarding natural light, few cameras and props. It still came out really nice in the end, though.
Damiano (the singer) was the sole lyricist for this song and like some other comments mentioned, he says it's about a pact with the devil, based on those stories of artists reaching incredible success in exchange of their soul. According to him, that's how he felt when they reached the #1 global hit, but it didn't make him happy, and fame felt like a hard burden to carry at the time. He says he has since rediscovered his love of live shows, music and songwriting. It was written in Trastevere, a neighborhood in Rome where Thomas (the guitarist) lived at the time.
The video is really beautiful to me, but the live version (as it often happens with them) is even more beautiful, with all the rawness that makes their sound fascinating to me. I love this song and this band.
i adooore that song so much ! i think it was really interesting to have ethan playing the guitar , instead of taking another professional guy// it stays in the familly .. ethan can play some piano and vic is really good as a dj so maybe we'll be suprised by new things like that.. they are self-sufficient i love that! hahaha i really love that pullover 🤣 lyrics talk about the devil proposing a pact , damiano says he was depressed at some point after eurovision he questioned himself whether he really wanted to do this job and do all those sacrifice for the fame.

The name derives from the Latin trans Tiberim ('beyond the Tiber'), the river that runs through Rome.

Trastevere è famoso per molte cose,per lo più interessanti ed originali ( ricordi ZITTI E BUONI,quando dice " qui la gente è strana tipo spacciatori " ) e di sicuro è il quartiere dove tutti e 4 hanno vissuto le esperienze più varie nella loro adolescenza perchè essendo cresciuti in realtà nel quartiere accanto e sopra Trastevere,Monteverde,un quartiere di classe media dove ovviamente per un giovane non c'è molto...ecco allora il perchè di passare il loro tempo libero tra le loro case sulla collina ed il fiume Tevere,dove la regola era provare ad infrangere le regole...

I think it is that more often A LOT OF people are involved in making the VIDEO CLIP. Just not every artists mentions them at the end of the video.
Some just a few most important ones, some none.
