Honestly, no matter what is your opinion on all this, this "victory plan" is just deluded. I guess framing is important but this is something nobody even the utmost supporters believe in.
It's not delusional, it's that they can't admit publicly that the war won't end without land concessions to Russia. The only possible plan I could see BOTH sides agreeing on based on the situation on the front is Russia keeping most of the land gains in Ukraine, Ukraine agreeing to keep NATO out of its borders and Russia agreeing Ukraine joining the EU. However, I don't think the USA would let Ukraine agree on terms where NATO wouldn't have a presence in Ukraine after the war and Russia knows that, that's why I believe the war will only end when one side fylly achieves attrition of the other.

No kidding! This has been a really useful resource for me as an America who cares deeply about Ukraine, but finds the ISW's daily reports painfully dry to read. They've avoided the big pitfall that so many other channels have, where the creators' personal biases lead to them being ridiculously over-optimistic in their assessment of Ukraine's current position, and the likely near-future course of the conflict. This was an especially big issue across UA-cam ahead of the 2023 counteroffensive, but even then, K&G was frank in discussing the factors that could lead to that counteroffensive failing. Similarly, in late 2022/early '23 saw a lot of people talking about Bakhmut as if it were an impregnable fortress rather than, like, a small city with mediocre geography for combat and very shaky supply lines. And most recently, you had people talking about how Ukraine was on the verge of capturing Kursk, like, the CITY of Kursk. But not Kings & Generals. They did an excellent job in analyzing the implications of the Kursk Offensive

Losing a vehicle means two things: either it gets destroyed or damaged, so you can try to fix it up, this means that Russia kept on repairing damaged vehicles and, by capturing territory, may even repair enemy tanks to bring them back to the frontline, while Ukraine suffers from constant lack of equipment and even has to salvage some for spare parts, Russia keeps on producing home and keeps on repairing
cause they have a lot of equipment in stockpiles that are really old. So, they are relying on the soviet era stuff which gets destroyed very easily. because they are losing those Vehicules so easily they have to use infantry wave tactics to gain territory using their overwhelming numbers.
Because Russia is more than 3 times large than Ukraine. Math is not your strong suit? They have the large cold war stockpiles that will run out at 25 hopefully and then Russia will be in trouble unless China steps up help.

Based of what you present i presume that you use mostly or only government approved information which would be sad seen all other sources avalaible covering the conflict. I wonder if they can arm a civilian turboprop plane to engage the Shahed drones. The drones are not that fast. The big roadbloack I see is that you would need an air controller to vector teh pilot to the drone and teh pilot would need to visually acquire the drone. I really can't see retrofitting a radar system in a turbo prop, but an IR system may be possible.

The US prefers a longer conflict during which it can degrade and occupy the Russian military and for a far cheaper cost than a direct confrontation. After all, the most valuable American war resource is its own soldier’s lives. The ability of Russia to mount a conventional attack has been degraded enormously. China has begun to fill the vacuum at an accelerating rate. Chinese ships, bombers are patrolling the routes Russia once did. However, Chinese support for Russia is ramping. China wishes the conflict to remain a stalemate for long enough to force a ceasefire.

I really don't understand why the US is dragging its feet on so many topics. The numbers on losses while it might seem huge for Russia keep in mind Russia has more to pull from than Ukraine. Those losses are near even which isn't good if you are Ukraine. They are holding out, but they need to be pushing back soon or any deal likely signs off the eastern occupied lands.
Losses are by far not even. Even the visually confirmed vehicle losses are a direct confirmation of the death toll being significantly higher in absolute number for Russia. Also bear in mind that, when writing this comment, there are almost 100 visually confirmed Russian soldier suicides (videos are online). Ukraine counts 0.

I really don't understand why the US is dragging its feet on so many topics. Ok, I understand avoiding WW3, but we and Australia have thousands of abrams sitting in the desert, and that line was already crossed. Same thing for more fighters, air defense, and artillery.

The numbers on losses while it might seem huge for Russia keep in mind Russia has more to pull from than Ukraine. Those losses are near even which isn't good if you are Ukraine. They are holding out, but they need to be pushing back soon or any deal likely signs off the eastern occupied lands.
