    I’m a musician and I started out on the drums in church and decided to get back into playing in my home studio for a live sound I’ve watched every video u have about the titan 70 I had the Alesis nitro max for 30 days and the hi hat pad went out and your videos really helped me make my decision and I agree a lot with your opinion about the set but it needs the ability to be able to pitch up not just down its desperately missing that

    I would add 2 cymbals in the expansions slots on the module and set the clamps in between two high Tom’s and one in between the two floor Toms. 5 cymbals with choke, plus 4 dual zone Toms on a drumset under $1000 is unheard of- for any electronic drum company…much less Simmons.

      So sir, this in your opinion would be great for adult starting out to grow with? I just ordered 5b sticks that was suggested & a practice pad. I’m on the hunt for a kit now. If you have any tips or suggestions all are appreciated. Have a good day.

    I had the Titan 50 and I had to get rid of it because the kick drum would give out sometimes and sometimes, I would have to hit it hard in order to get a sound from it, so I just got rid of it and now I ordered the Titan 70 hopefully I won't have that issue with the titan 70.

    even tho you could use a splitter to double the amount of drums, you wouldnt be able to change the sound in just one drum. they would sound the same. I didnt realize that I could extend the cable to the hat and move it to the other side. Great Video, Thanks

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  11 днів тому

      Thanks not true… you can change the drums individually.

      @@KeithronPowell if you were to use the splitter and add a 2nd hihat, you change the sound on just one hi hat?

      @KeithronPowell  11 днів тому +1

      @@andrewmueller8803 the hi hat is the exception… you’d have to spilt two cables. I’m not sure how it would respond. It would work but not sure of accuracy. You should try it and see what happens

    Animal from the muppets?1 Yeah we friends, lol. Keith a couple of questions? After watching several of your video reviews, you've sold me on the Titan 70. I plan on getting it soon as well as the Simmons amp, the 2112. Now I know that double bass isn't your preference, but does it matter what double bass pedal you add to the kit? Something like the Yamaha FP9D? The splitter that you were showing? What name brand is that? So I can ask for it or buy it online. Also, can I add the 12" snare from the SD1250 to the 70?

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for watching. The brand of pedal doesn’t matter it’s more important to get the right splitter. It has to be female mono (T/S) 1/4 in to 2 mono (T/S) male 1/4 in. The SD1250 snare will not work on the Titan or any other drum because of the connection. Consider using the links in the description when you order your drum set. Also, here’s a link to the cable. Can you do a comparison of the Titan70 or any e drum with an actual acoustic set? I would like to compare sounds

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  2 місяці тому

      Wow, you’re asking for more than you realize. I’ve considered it but… I came up with 1000000 reasons to not do that. #1 being what it takes to set up, #2 tune and #3 mic an acoustic drum. Plus, my Pearl drum will sound different from a DW, Yamaha or any other drum. The e-drum mimics all of those drums in the module. This is the first request that at this time I just can’t do it. Not to mention I have 4 different snares… I’d need to test it against all of them and…. 🤦🏽‍♂️ my head hurts now. 😂

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  Місяць тому +1

      It really is personal preference. I make sure that that bass is going to the Sub. Because I have the sub… and I let the 2112s do the rest. It’s really about what you like though.

    Do you or anyone you know make "edited kits" for the SD1250 that sound like specific drummers, songs, etc. When I had a Roland TD-20 years back there were 3rd party designed kits that would sound like Def Leppard, Rush, Pink Floyd, etc. I am not having the success I would like in editing kit sounds on the SD1250. Thanks for all you do.

    • @KeithronPowell
      @KeithronPowell  2 місяці тому

      I do not. I wish I did though. I wish I knew how to do that. I know that some of these drum sounds are specifically tuned to mimic drums from different artists.

      @@KeithronPowell It was great for playing in a cover band. Punch in a kit number and sound just like the drum kit recording.

  • @KeithronPowell

    coming from an acoustic drum the idea of editing my kit to sound like the recorded kit seems foreign to me.
