This video may be confusing for some people, because if you are saying that is the right amount of oil, then that deck wood must be close to brand new. If your deck is older, over a couple years or more older, it will need to have way way way more oil sprayed on because it will be soaking it up more like a sponge, and in that case, then you want to back brush it to get it even, but if the wood is new, it will not absorb hardly any, and you don't want it puddled on top or it can just be sticky for a while. old wood, soaks up way way more, new wood, won't absorb hardly any.

You apply wayyyyy more material with an Airless than a brush evenly. I can go back and take some pictures of it now 8 years later if you like?!?? 🤔 I challenge anyone to spray as perfect as o do. Wood can only accept so much stain till it just begins to cover like paint. We’re shooting about 2100 PSI out of a Rac 5, 415 tip. If you don’t understand this language you probably are no we’re near the league that we are in. Not to be a snob. If you have any other questions please just ask. And yes in some small situations we just use a deck brush but in does not leave a perfect finish like the Airlines with the right practice you can get close. It’s really important to know that also on a warmer day. It can be much harder to do a large area evenly with a brush do to the fast drying of the stain can get you in trouble and leave your Deck looking like some 10 hr guy did it. Aka a Train wreck. Thanks for being interested.

Awesome job. You seem very very professional to me. Can you answer me this. I have a pressure treated deck four years old. If I was going to sand it and stain it. Should I use a wood cleaner first and then sand or can I just sand?
