It's definitely preferable to tile the walls before the floor. That way you can clear up any adhesive / grout that may have fallen when tiling prior to starting on your floors. Good luck with your tiling!
The use of primer is to stabilise dusty surfaces and reduce the porosity of a substrate to ensure full adhesion is achieved. In some instances a primer is used to create a barrier / seal a substrate to prevent a reaction between the substrate and the adhesive itself, for example, priming gypsum base substrates when using cementitious adhesives. Hope that's helpful!
Building regulations state 5mm gap around the perimeter for expansion. You should always do the floor first and put the wall tiles on top with a 2mm gap. Were they meet is classed as a movement joint. Building regulations state all movement joints should be siliconed
8mm Notch is nowhere near enough for floor tiling. You'll be lucky to have 40% coverage, especially without back buttering. A lot of the tile sides on the first tiles aren't even touching the adhesive bed.
This Channel is Amazing
You are too kind!
Proper job mate. I’ve been looking around to see how to tile, and there you are again mate. Keep up the good work on here and proper job!!!!

Good video. Is it preferable to tile the walls before the floor? Or it's irrelevant

You batten the room at the first full tile then tile the walls then tile the floor. Remove the Barton and put the last row of wall tiles in.
Do we need a prime a concrete floor prior to tiling?
Alexa, we would always recommend priming your floor before tiling. It ensures that your adhesive will stick to your concrete. Hope that's useful.
Any primer required?
not essential on cement boards, but it doesn't do any harm.
@@MrBugs183 thanks

Looks easy but not so

100 percent not even close to the proper way to install tile…my contractors would fire me for this kind of hack jobs, wow
