Yeah, I've done the world's longest wobbly extension. It can work, but it will cost you all of your patience and a good part of your sanity! I actually had a garage owner tell me a lot of places don't reinstall the top bolt just because they hate it so much and no one would really know until somewhere way down the road. Anyway, good luck with the rest of the repair. That top bolt is really the only difficult step.
You absolutely saved my life. Incredible. Dont know if i have the strength today to reinstall but getting that top bolt out sure does feel like i already won! Thank you. I subbed
I wish I could give you a helpful reply, but I don't remember having any real problems getting the old one out and the new one in. Might have had to twist and turn it a bit to get it to drop down through the gap, but nothing special that I could give you any tips on. Also I know I'm about a month late on seeing this so you probably worked it out already, hopefully.
2024 and this video was the key to sucess today. THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
I used quarter inch ratchet with a two inch adapter and a 13mm socket.
Thank you so much. I was about to start building the wobbly extension from hell, but thought I'd check and there you are with the solution.

Thank you!
You are a lifesaver I'm about to change my starter and wasn't sure how to get that top bolt off.
Just did mine after giving up twice. Brilliant Good hack Ford did us wrong on this one…

Thanks! You should make more videos. You are very clear, concise and helpful.
Great idea. Thank you
turn your phone while filming
Thank you for this
Spent hours in this before the vid. You are a MF lifesaver! As soon as we used the short ratchet worked perfect.
What about the space to take off and put it back, there is not space to take it out and put it back, how you did it.

Leave that top bolt out. It's useless
