Or are you simply looking for cake ideas or delicious baking recipes such as the best moist chocolate cake recipe or the perfect vanilla frosting recipe or are you finally ready to tackle Italian Meringue Buttercream? We have a variety of videos, episodes and tutorials that you will love including how to make holiday themed cakes, birthday cakes and cakes for all special occasions!
Note: Although I painted the candy melts with oil-based edible paint it is recommended that you put the paint right in the melted candy melts to turn it white because edible oil-based paint takes a long time to dry when painted on. (I only painted it on because I was running low.)

Oh my gosh, Jen, you are ahhhmaaaazing!!!! I am such a fan of yours!!! My family has a tradition for April Fools each year. We like to make meals/foods that are not as they appear and then invite unsuspecting friends over for a dinner to "fool" them. This would be a fun gift to make for my hubby for April Fool's day this year. Thanks for the idea! Are you willing to share your recipe? What are the Starbucks labels made of? What did you use to "paint " and "seal" them on? Also, what is the stuff that you poured over the cupcakes to make it look like coffee?

Thank you so much! You and your family are so much fun, I love that you go above and beyond for April Fool’s Day! I would be honored to help you fool your husband on April Fool’s Day with this Starbucks cup. It’s a great choice. I made it and no kidding I would almost pick it up to take a sip from it out of habit when I walked into the kitchen and saw it. The Starbucks sticker is printed out on edible paper from my edible ink printer. If you don’t have one of these and don’t want to invest in one then I suggest you ask a grocery store bakery if they will print it out for you. They will probably want the Starbucks label to be a fake label so they don’t get in trouble for copyright infringement and will probably charge you some sort of fee. There are a lot of Starbucks labels that are slightly off in someway like a misspelling on Google Images. I stuck it on with oil based edible paint, the brand I used was “Youtook” and I bought it on Amazon. You need oil based edible paint because you are using it on chocolate. This is what I painted the cup with, however, if I were to do it again I would color the melted candy melts with the paint instead of painting it on after the fact to make it look more realistic. Also, your cake would go bad before it dries as it takes soooo long to dry. Although, if you do paint it on, when your husband picks it up he will get the paint on his hand which may be an added bonus since as soon as he picks it up and feels the weight of it he will know it’s not really Starbucks. You can also skip the label altogether and slip a Starbucks coffee cup sleeve around it instead. (Another reason you may not want to paint the cup.) I poured caramel in the cup to make it look like coffee. This did cause a “Nailed It” moment however later as a part of my chocolate coffee cup was too thin and the caramel started to leak through and crack the chocolate. Let’s just say I wouldn’t have won the $5k on “Is It Cake” as they saw the caramel leaking out of the bottom of the cup. 😂 If you make sure the chocolate is thick enough everywhere I think it will hold but I don’t know for sure. Or you could try adding some brown icing color to clear gelatin and make a coffee looking jello, that might work. Let me know if you have any other questions. I am happy to help!
