The first few times I used mine, I had to empty the bin a ton because apparently my house was super dirty. Haha! After using it for a couple weeks I didn’t have to change it nearly as often. I would see how it is after a couple weeks then maybe take it back if it keeps doing it?
FYI Any time we clean ours or replace parts take a regular pencil eraser and rub the two contacts on the bottom of the Roomba (my wife calls ours Rosie like the maid on the Jetsons) and on the charging base. It cleans the contacts which lets it charge faster.
It doesn't allow it to charge faster it simply allows it to charge easier. Any dirt on the contacts disrupts the connection for it to charge and pencil erasers work best for it even on ram sticks out of computers. Yes it works on the the charging base fyi.
I just looked up the parts for the 690 and I think they are different than the ones I have. If you just search on amazon for your Roomba, it will show pics so you can see which ones are for your Roomba.

That’s a great idea! I’ve used rubbing alcohol but I’ve never tried an eraser. Do you also use it on the charging base?
