    I have 3 questions
    1. I have the gotrax g4 and it says in the manual to inflate tires to 50PSI but tires say 36, what should I do? The main thing I want is that the tires should last for as long as possible, i don't care about comfort
    2. Is there any way I can make it engage just the regenerative braking when I push breakes a bit, and when I push harder it also activates disc brake?
    3. Tightening the brakes, will it decrease or increase range? And will it increase or decrease the lifespan of the breaks?

I've adjusted my brother in laws scooter. The rear brake pads I can see have a gap on each side, but when I lift the scooter up and spin, it still feels like something is slowing the rear wheel down.
I've released the wire. It still does it. I've checked the mud guard, and it feels close but still free. Are some electric scooters meant to have some friction?

if its new, might be from a bent disk. if its after adjustment, adjust your right pad while tire is turning as in 5:38, or it might happen because you tighten brake wire too much and left pad starts to touch disk.

The sound goes away when there isn't any weight on it? A certain amount of dragging noise is normal from disc brakes. Do you feel like it's dragging in addition to making noise? -Paul

Same problem. Brand new scooter makes a “metal on metal” sound coming from the front wheel. I think the disc brake is rubbing on something. Happens when I’m not on the scooter, too, and just rolling it forward. I’ll try the advice around the 3-min timestamp to fix this.

May I suggest 2. My front wheel does a flap-flap-flap noise every revolution. It's not a metallic sound, sounds like something rubbery. But it's not the valve cap. When I tighten the bolts on the wheel, it reduces a bit.
But it never did that in the begining. Perhaps knocking my wheel a few times a bit hard on cracks in the pavement did this?
Second, how do you repair a tailight wire that was likely damaged by pressing the fender on the wheel to open the scooter?
The front light turns on but not the tailight. XR Elite (Gotrax) scooter.
Thought these issues might be common enough. :p

a solid advice for everyone, tightening brake tire too much seems a better idea to you if you think you dont need regenerative brake or tail lights; that causes brake wire to snap too early than it should. i snapped once in a downhill and thank god for those regenative break on motor.
dont worry, when wire's life comes to end, you can feel the thinner-wrapped-wires snapping one by one when you breaking. when it happens, GET YOURSELF A SPARE WIRE ASAP!!! also dont worry x2: changing brake wire is the most easy one in this models. any other bicycle mtb wire do, but be sure they are no shorter than exactly 200mm long. loose wire from caliper, squeeze break and pull out the head of the wire from its slot, reverse process on new wire and you are good to go. shouldnt take more than 2 or 3 minutes.

It's not a Dulatron, but I'm guessing it's to cut off the main power? It pushes in and out like a power switch. It's in the left side ooo5of where the plug input is, and whatver the othe circular thing next to it does.
