So I've been having issues with my internet since Christmas Eve (literally, it was working fine and then it all went to shit on Christmas Eve). At the time of typing it's been a week and 6 days since then and it's only now been "fixed" (although i fully expect it to go off again sometime today). All I could think of was this story. So for what it's worth, us here in the UK may not have data caps but we have just as much issues as you in the US do. We even have those overly friendly twitter accounts, which if anything just made it more annoying seeing them insist that "there's no problems in the area" despite several people from that same area tweeting them saying they're having problems.

In the UK and the rest of Europe ISP's are simply not allowed to limit your usage and bandwidth. It's common knowledge that usage caps are bullshit.

Wow, I'd heard ISP's could be bad in the US but I never knew it was THIS bad! Makes me really appreciate what I got over here.
