I've been running saws for 13 years and i cut right of way for living. I've cut myself twice and the first was right above the left knee, no chaps on, or that wouldnt of happened. Second one was during a wet day while trimming in bucket. I went to cut a limb that i had to hold onto and whenbi put my saw to the limb it ran to my hand hold the limb and cut one finger but not bad, luckily.
I didn't realize I had it set on " disabled comments". It is now fixed. Although seeing that only six people have viewed it and I know my son and I are one of the views, I probably didn't miss too many comments.
Hey Aaron, yeah I watch a lot of those Dyno Joe's vids too. I port and polish chain saws but I requested a build on this saw. It's supposed to be a 500i killer. I'm really excited!! At the same time I'm going to have to knock over a bank to pay it off I would imagine. You know what after sawing my finger those chaps do sound like a good idea. If you cut that vein in your leg, you could be up s*** creek. I think they need to build a glove that's made out of the chap material too. I'd buy a pair right now
I don't run top handles, but it's all dangerous. And remember saws don't cut they tear. Broke my nose this summer made me feel like a rookie again.when everything stops moving and you can still see your buddy you get a little hope
I know what it's like to break your nose too. I was inner tubing down the river drinking like a fish and decided to jump off this log which was up in the air a pretty good ways. I did a no arms head first only dive into the river. I didn't realize it was so shallow that my knee didn't is even get wet. I saw stars in that one.

Well I would say that's not that bad for 13 years. It's scary how fast sh*t can go wrong. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I rewinded to hear that too. 😂
Yeah it was a " take one" only video. You will find some flaws.
Hope you get well soon
Thanks JR!!
Watched a lot of dyno joe. He’ll get it screaming for you. I’ve only nicked myself once but it was enough for me to buy some saw chaps

Stihl makes some gloves like that. There is only a square of kevlar on the back of the left hand, though and nothing on the fingers

Sounds like you got lucky
Yeah Jason, it was nice to see the finger still move.
