Hanna's film started with shaming men, that was the only hint of female shadow.... it showed how little women can see men's pain and are miles from seeing their own shadow. Happily divorced from such shaming and going my own way.
That you guys felt that it was a culture shock seeing it and feeling it was anything approaching honest or insightful, only shows how bad things truly are for men.

This is a complicated issue. Some women still expect the men to be the bread winners. Some men still expect their wives to be the homemakers. But now we have men staying home with the kids and taking on that role with the wives as the bread winners. A lot more women are in the military today. We are slowly leveling the playing field between the sexes. We should be rejoicing at the possibilities opening up for both sexes. But we all have to have a hand in making it better. Where are the groups where both men and women are included in the conversation? Coming soon I hope.

It's sensible of women who are planning on having children to look for a partner with an income though. If a woman has to bear the children AND provide for the family financially, they're more vulnerable than necessary, and it puts a huge amount of pressure on the woman.
Pregnancy is a risky business. It puts women in a vulnerable position, both physically and emotionally. It makes little sense for women to pair up with men who are not in a position to provide for the family at least during that time.

Why should I sacrifice the only life I have to go into a relationship in order to create a next generation that is supposed to sacrifice their only lives ... and so on. Women and feminism wished for their freedom thus indirectly giving men theirs. Feminism is really a liberator of men. We can do what we want now, the old contract has been ditched.

I would say Robert Bly was father of the men's movement.

Surprised to hear such unqualified enthusiasm for the from women to men film. It is moving and could help push the conversation in the right direction. But it is positioned firmly within the identity politics game. Women as a group hurting men as a group is as warped an idea as male oppression of women.

Theres a reason. This appears to be an attempt by Male feminists to get control of the Awakening. Theres nothing Red Pill going on here!

maybe, but what if this was just some women who felt that a good way to start would be to own the fact that they are human and have made mistakes too. what a great ante! i think a group of men should do the same in return. and don't stop there. a group of fathers should ask for forgiveness for the ways that we have hurt our children. and a group of sons ask for forgiveness for the ways we have hurt our moms and dads.
lets just all be humble and commit to loving each other towards a better future.

Dont be fooled by this...it may sound "authentic", but the agenda appears to be feminist.

Nice content. I am so glad Warren Farrell is getting credit for his work. That said Herb Goldberg should receive some credit as well. Goldberg predated Farrell by about 10 years with the Hazards of Being Male and led the way before Farrell with workshops on relationships between men and women. Secondly, I find your use of "shadow" weak. I hear shadow being conflated with negative. Shadow is that which is less visible, hidden, unseen particularly because the other gets the light or is more acceptable. The shadow is not always negative. See Jungian literature. Also, I highly recommend Robert Bly's book "The Little Book of the Shadow." Brief and clear!

Alright, you got me, add another Patron to your list. Also, The Red Pill is the first movie/doco for a long time that I have paid for (tell the truth, or at least don't lie), looking forward to it.

Male and female relationships are broken and this is the new norm. I still have female friends but females I have known for a long time and trust. Would I introduce new females? No as in current year that would be far too risky to get to that trust point so unlikely I would get there with anyone new.

Re: the female shadow -- females are prone to victim mentality, and this has its own shadow aspect found in all less-empowered "victim" groups. Unwillingness to play fair or fight fair is a victim mentality failing. This attitude needs to be distinguished from the shadow aspects of femaleness itself, and of mother-ness. For a fun look at the female shadow NOT performing as usual, check out "The Hypocrisy Scene" from SPANGLISH .. it is on UA-cam. It is even better in context -- that Adam Sandler movie is a study of female behaviour.

Perhaps at the start recommend a video explaining what this shadow stuff is that you're talking about, even better, don't use jargon.

Where is Jordan Peterson when we need him ? This discussion is WAY too polite and social. We need to come to terms with the base of male/female dynamics -- the lobster dynamics.

Women and racial minorities are morally culpable as well? Looks like some incremental progress is being made, or maybe no?
