Yes its not necessary. I raised my son with all my love and care as a single mother. He remained an apple of my eye. He was respected by his younger sisters but he has turned into a narcissist person. I am in great pain these days regretting where i went wrong but no clue. Now watching videos and reading comments by different people.

Not all. I was hurt all my life yet I still get hurt and trust the wrong people. I never treated them the way they treated me. Some hurt people just get hurt over and over until they start loving themselves and staying away from toxic people. 😢
My narc neighbour regrets that I soon realised exactly what she is. I quickly, politely, backed away from her toxic, stifling attention. She couldn't play her sick playlist through to the discard stage with me - which absolutely infuriated her. Cue the stalking and smear campaigns. She (of course!!) claims I am stalking her, and has effectively corroded neighbourly relationships as she limps around playing the victim and lying incessantly. I can't even brush my teeth without her claiming its an attack on her. I've endured five years of this. Usually I manage to take it on the chin, but today I'm absolutely seething about the continuing damage done and I needed to purge. And YES, the narc knows EXACTLY what they're doing. They love it.
My ex left me 3 months ago we were together for 12 years she just ghosted me. I stopped being her supply for the last year and she got extremely depressed. The evil things she did to me she was telling people that I did those things to her. I always wondered why her family would act differently towards me sometimes. Yes, they do know. Why would a person intentionally abuse people. They actually Enjoy hurting people it makes them feel Powerful. I think they have to use the same abuse the mother / caregiver used on them.
Damn right, I used to know one. Mother died when she was young, father told her she’d never amount to anything. She’s done well for herself, though she is abusive, belittling, and shallow and sees the negative in everything. I walked away in the end emotionally exhausted and drained. 60 days tomorrow no contact and I’m still mentally struggling.

I'm now around 100 days of no contact and believe me, with each day it gets better and better and you finally realize what was it all about! Stay strong and confident, you can do this! It hurts to hear this, but it is highly informative otherwise how would we know. For me, the discard (which was also abusive) and smear campaign is at my university during my graduate studies. I have had to learn how to hold a great deal of patience for myself in this time of confusion. I feel like I have been on an emotional detox of sorts.

I didn't even realize my boyfriend of 4 years was a narcissist till he ended the relationship then put a restraining order on me 8 days later. He lied & got his order.
I caught her doing it intentionally - I asked why 2 times and she went blank faced and then changed the subject - she became so hateful after the game was rattled.
After 23 years, being cheated on and having to move out. Throw in her almost successful suicide and telling my boys and I it was because she knew how bad she hurt us by making us move to fl. my oldest went from 4.3 to a 3.9. So because The 3 of us where angry about the move it made her feel so bad she needed to kill herself. Needless to say. The 3 of us loved living in Florida real fast. With that said, I will never go back again. I feel like I was hit in the head. Have to get this off chest. We where looking for a smaller house for two months because the youngest is leaving. Then, out of no where she tells me 2 weeks before my sons graduation that, I won't be on the new lease. So again, I will never go back.
Ok. First, I'm sorry your kids are involved. And it all hurts. Really think about talking with someone to help you understand what part you played. And if this is the last time for her, one day you will see how lucky you are. And for the love of God, do not go back.

Narccists do NOT have a traumatic childhood. They were spoiled and told they were special until they believed they had the right to continuous admiration from all the lesser beings around them. The last day I was there - the new supply said to the narcs "Well I love you." having never lived with her prior and the look on her face when she said it to her, says a lot. Its been 4mnths now since Ive been out of there and I dunno how much longer before the new supply gets the discard. I remembered after two months of living with her she blew a fuse one day and I thought to myself, "This is way too early for this type of argument. I want out of this." but her Mom talked me into staying and I did for 6yrs. I dunno how much patience the new supply will have but she smokes and drinks too and the narcs does neither.
Anoushka, if they insist you go to therapy and take meds and that is used as a method to control you especially with taking meds, what do you do? They want compliance or else. Kids are put in the middle.
Push back, stand up to them, take courage and most importantly, ask God to help you. This is a spiritual war and narcs are controlled by demonic entities. They’re all the same. It’s spiritual.
The easiest when to understand a narcissist is to think of a German commander running a prisoner of war camp………….ideally they want a prisoner to confirm, jump when they say jump, stay where they should be, do what they want them to do, speak when they want them to speak. Then the commander or the narcissist is happy. However if the prisoner has free will and ends up escaping the commander may end up not wanting them back as they are a trouble causer. In a lot of cases those prisoners were shot rather than having them back, likewise the narcissist discards the person as they cannot be controlled

All I did was tell the truth about her and what she had been doing and it made her mad Basically she wanted to be in control of everything. 4 years after divorcing my ex wife, she contacted me saying she is broken and that she made a mistake although she wouldn't elaborate what she meant by saying this. She later got really upset that I took my new girlfriend on an overseas 1st class flight, this makes no sense to me as it was previously hers before she decided to cheat and ignore me. Any ideas if she has changed or wants me back since I haven't heard from her for another 3 years?
The movie The Notebook is about a Narcissistic Personality Female whose got complete control over a man whose in love with her. . .And my ex loved that movie and said it reminded her of us. They're demon possessed. Mine was emotionally, mentally, abusive to me for 15 years. One day, after having been fasting, praying and reading the holy bible for months we were holding hands, her talking, me listening while mentally praying the blood of Christ Jesus of Nazareth to anoint her from head to toe, she suddenly jerked away shaking and wringing her hands while telling me to stop and don't do that. No way she knew I was silently praying in my mind over her. I convinced her to hold my hands and each time I'd silently pray in my thoughts and she would freak out. She feared touching my hands after those incidents. I knew after the third time she gave me that reaction that she was demonic possessed by evil. I've left her in the rearview mirror, moved forward and refuse to look back. I'm free. She's physically hit the wall by now, so it'll be difficult for her to use physical attraction to trap more victims. My life is beautiful now since I moved on and cut all contact with her.

So they will smear you even to people you don’t know, very publicly? An ex friend did this to my partner and myself, on her Facebook page. Despite having no mutual friends. I assumed that it was just so we might possibly see it? But it might be to get some form of supply from her friends?
To clarify - it was after I lost it with her and told her that her behaviour had been very weird and unacceptable. And in the smear she tried to put a rift between me and my partner, by making false allegations (that had the smallest nugget of truth). Nasty stuff.

What does the goodbye look like? Over what frame of time. If he gets reluctant and wants to hang on, do you go all psychologist on him, explains his feelings to him, letting him know you’re a lover psychologist, so to speak, and you’ve seen this before? How do you get past that “touch me in the morning. Diana Ross. Then just say good bye. We’ve seen how love can grow now we’ll see how it dies”. Sort of thing. Can you do that? Could you bear it. Or do you step back, go psychologist, and then take it from there?

If he felty guilty and remorseful he probably wasn’t a true narc. Mine is the most loving person to me but is not capable of guilt or remorse.

It hurts to hear this, but it is highly informative otherwise how would we know. For me, the discard (which was also abusive) and smear campaign is at my university during my graduate studies. I have had to learn how to hold a great deal of patience for myself in this time of confusion. I feel like I have been on an emotional detox of sorts.

I caught her doing it intentionally - I asked why 2 times and she went blank faced and then changed the subject - she became so hateful after the game was rattled.
After 23 years, being cheated on and having to move out. Throw in her almost successful suicide and telling my boys and I it was because she knew how bad she hurt us by making us move to fl. my oldest went from 4.3 to a 3.9. So because The 3 of us where angry about the move it made her feel so bad she needed to kill herself. Needless to say. The 3 of us loved living in Florida real fast.
With that said, I will never go back again. I feel like I was hit in the head.
Have to get this off chest. We where looking for a smaller house for two months because the youngest is leaving. Then, out of no where she tells me 2 weeks before my sons graduation that, I won't be on the new lease.

PLEASE STOP ENABLING THEM. Treat a Narcissist like the spoiled children they have become and, if enough people do that, it will force them to change or withdraw. Either is a win for the rest of us!

We really had to learn the hard way
The last day I was there - the new supply said to the narcs "Well I love you." having never lived with her prior and the look on her face when she said it to her, says a lot. Its been 4mnths now since Ive been out of there and I dunno how much longer before the new supply gets the discard. I remembered after two months of living with her she blew a fuse one day and I thought to myself, "This is way too early for this type of argument. I want out of this." but her Mom talked me into staying and I did for 6yrs. I dunno how much patience the new supply will have but she smokes and drinks too and the narcs does neither.

The easiest when to understand a narcissist is to think of a German commander running a prisoner of war camp………….ideally they want a prisoner to confirm, jump when they say jump, stay where they should be, do what they want them to do, speak when they want them to speak. Then the commander or the narcissist is happy. However if the prisoner has free will and ends up escaping the commander may end up not wanting them back as they are a trouble causer. In a lot of cases those prisoners were shot rather than having them back, likewise the narcissist discards the person as they cannot be controlled

4 years after divorcing my ex wife, she contacted me saying she is broken and that she made a mistake although she wouldn't elaborate what she meant by saying this.
She later got really upset that I took my new girlfriend on an overseas 1st class flight, this makes no sense to me as it was previously hers before she decided to cheat and ignore me.
Any ideas if she has changed or wants me back since I haven't heard from her for another 3 years?

Mine was emotionally, mentally, abusive to me for 15 years.
One day, after having been fasting, praying and reading the holy bible for months we were holding hands, her talking, me listening while mentally praying the blood of Christ Jesus of Nazareth to anoint her from head to toe, she suddenly jerked away shaking and wringing her hands while telling me to stop and don't do that.
No way she knew I was silently praying in my mind over her.
I convinced her to hold my hands and each time I'd silently pray in my thoughts and she would freak out.
She feared touching my hands after those incidents.
I knew after the third time she gave me that reaction that she was demonic possessed by evil.
I've left her in the rearview mirror, moved forward and refuse to look back. I'm free.
She's physically hit the wall by now, so it'll be difficult for her to use physical attraction to trap more victims.
My life is beautiful now since I moved on and cut all contact with her.

An ex friend did this to my partner and myself, on her Facebook page. Despite having no mutual friends. I assumed that it was just so we might possibly see it? But it might be to get some form of supply from her friends?
To clarify - it was after I lost it with her and told her that her behaviour had been very weird and unacceptable. And in the smear she tried to put a rift between me and my partner, by making false allegations (that had the smallest nugget of truth). Nasty stuff.

What does the goodbye look like? Over what frame of time. If he gets reluctant and wants to hang on, do you go all psychologist on him, explains his feelings to him, letting him know you’re a lover psychologist, so to speak, and you’ve seen this before? How do you get past that “touch me in the morning. Diana Ross. Then just say good bye. We’ve seen how love can grow now we’ll see how it dies”. Sort of thing. Can you do that? Could you bear it. Or do you step back, go psychologist, and then take it from there?
