This is why I’m not filming very much of this process truly disappointing but the same people not watching the videos will come back on a walk around and complain that I never build anything.
that car with that engine will we a great drive ! 255s in back ...235 s up front will look & handle nicely those tires will make the suspension do its job & fit nicely in the wheel wells
Love when the crew gets together. Really what a good time wrenching is all about, with buds! Need another road trip with Monkey Wrench when you feel better of course!
Beautiful engine bay. Nice black parts. Love how the progress will be. I would love to see a polish of the original lacquer (should I say paint correction at Brian?). I bet it will still shine up like it is was painted yesterday.
I loved this video Randy, just a nice project with the good old friends, some jokes and a lot of laugh. Only missed some beers man. Continue strong and keep it up buddie !
Just found these video because i want to buy same Monte Carlo and mod it 😅 im so glad to see these helps me give me a idea what im getting into can't wait to find the Monte Carlo that will speak to me. Hopefully everything goes well for you all good luck from PA.
Hello Randy. Cleaning up the engine bay of the 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Hello Mike aka Santa's Workshop. Getting ready to drop the new engine and transmission in the car. Hello Delbert and Mike aka Monkey Wrench Mike.
I got a 400 sbc with a victor jr intake under a factory flat hood 87 ss. It can be done with an air cleaner you can't fit a piece of paper between but it fits
Shame on you Randy..that video was entertaining and to watch you guys transform the Monte Carlo into something nice..and also glad to took the comments seriously enough to make the engine bay look presentable before installing that nice looking engine/trans combo..continue the good work your doing with that particular car..can't wait to hear it run..take care and God bless.
Hey Randy, just saw your video on the updated engine that you put in you and your friends put in the money Carlo if you would tell everybody that Danny said hi I know you don’t know me but I wish we would meet each other one of these days but of course that’s probably never gonna happen because you live in Oklahoma and I live in TENNESSEE so I’m hoping eventually we’ll get to meet each other but anyhow I hope you had fun putting the new engine in the Monte Carlo. Can’t wait to see your next video on it with all your new friends, which I know two of them. Michael from Sandy’s workshop and Mike from monkey wrench Mike tell everybody I said hi and tell Delbert that I said hi and I’ll talk to you later. Can’t wait to see your next video on the Monte Carlo. Talk to you later buddy have a good evening.
Hi Randy. Once your video got to the amount of blood that was shed on the project, it reminded me of my DIY projects. I have four considerations when planning any DIY. How many hours will I need to spend? How much effort it will require. How much money I'll invest. The most important is how much blood I must donate to the DIY god. I've learned the meaning of the words A Bloody Mess.
You should make a second channel for this type of videos. Most people subscribed are more interested in walk around videos. I love these type of videos. I would have loved to see more footage of this build.
Randy, after powertour ,swap motor with the truck and sell the monte and keep the truck cuz it'll have the new motor in it, then find an S10 to put the 305 and used trans in it and sell it., all profit
Hope you recuperation goes fast and as for the drive shaft just find a shop. Driveline to be specific and what I did was took a can of Play-Doh and made a impression of the output shaft they just change the yoke and probably a new universal joint for the front
Just curious Why do you stab the engine and trans assembled? I have been working on these cars since the 80s and it’s always easier and faster to set the engine in then put trans up from the bottom.
Hey Randy, do you have any e-bikes for sale? How would I get in touch with you? It's for a good purpose, "if" you have one or a couple to sell, Thanks Brother
What happened to all the stuff you were going to do with the Monte Carlo like make it a show car with a restored paint job and better powertrain? It’s such a letdown that now it doesn’t mean anything to you understand it’s definitely a business, but I think you would’ve gotten a lot more views trying to restore the Monte Carlo with the paint, especially!
200r4 Randy. 200r4. Not 200 4r. I can excuse it once or twice as a verbal slip but every video, you say the wrong thing. As for the Monte SS, quite disappointed. Low mileage, driver quality. You paid too much to begin with. Swapping the original drive train out is destroying the value. If that's what you wanted to do, you could've bought a decent condition regular Monte Carlo. That would've raised the value of that and it probably would've been cheaper to build. Some of these vehicles you buy start out good and just need a little bit touching up but then you mess with what's good and mess them up. Idk who is buying them after you but quite a few times they pay too much. The anniversary Trans Am was way too cheap. The Formula Firebird was too expensive.
Wow, views on this are way lower than I would’ve thought.Bummer
This is why I’m not filming very much of this process truly disappointing but the same people not watching the videos will come back on a walk around and complain that I never build anything.
I love it when you collaborate. It raises viewership for all channels involved. I love to see you all have a good time.
I love it whenever you include Santa to your channel.

Hey Randy! I hope you're doing well, I saw that you were in the hospital for a surgery, sending good vibes your way for healing!

Randy vs Santa, round 1 🏁Race!🏁
Love when the crew gets together. Really what a good time wrenching is all about, with buds! Need another road trip with Monkey Wrench when you feel better of course!
Looking good guys! Can't wait to see ya on the track this summer.
Randy and the two Mike's garage video's are fun to watch
Custom build = Custom Challenges. Looking forward to see how you guys get around getting it perfected.
Beautiful engine bay. Nice black parts. Love how the progress will be. I would love to see a polish of the original lacquer (should I say paint correction at Brian?). I bet it will still shine up like it is was painted yesterday.

Tulsa raceway park drag strip. They have the weekend drags and you can run your cars there

Good bunch of guys

There's a story about monkeys and a football that came to mind as I watched y'all "drop" that engine/trans combo in. Just kidding. Good job fellas.
Hey Randy and Monkey Wrench Mike you 2 are awesome same to Santa's Workshop
Excited for this journey
This was awesome man get better soon randy 🙏🏼🤗

My main man Mike 🎉
Beautiful engine Bay ❤

Great video and work😎💪
It would be hilarious to see you put the 383 in the sunbird you used to have 😂
Good morning Randy
Hope you recuperation goes fast and as for the drive shaft just find a shop. Driveline to be specific and what I did was took a can of Play-Doh and made a impression of the output shaft they just change the yoke and probably a new universal joint for the front
Randy!!!! YOU NEVER KEEP ANYTHING!!!!
I hope you feeling better
I was going to watch.. until you said you were going to pull it back out eventually. Love your channel and your content usually.
Just out of curiosity, is Delbert from Indiana? You should do a few more projects like this. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!
Always good when Mike squared stops by…. One question, wouldn’t it have been easier to put the headers in the bay (not bolted) before the motor ?
Can't believe you didn't replace the motor mounts
Nice video 🥰
Just curious Why do you stab the engine and trans assembled? I have been working on these cars since the 80s and it’s always easier and faster to set the engine in then put trans up from the bottom.
Could you take off front clip to make it faster ?
I'm high! 😂
Should have bought the 1984 chevy silverado c20 before the Monte carlo. That way, it gets the smending engine.
what sort of money was the monte carlo worth before you started?
👍🏾👊🏽
the engine looks nothing in that monte carlo, would of looked awesome in that truck. with a nice engine bay tidy so it just shows that nice lump
Hey Randy, do you have any e-bikes for sale?
How would I get in touch with you?
It's for a good purpose, "if" you have one or a couple to sell,
Thanks Brother
can we get a dom toretto out the bonnet intake
Don't push yourself on putting out videos man.. take care of yourself first.. but do an update video on how you are doing...

Jesus Christ dude, at least use some POR15 under the hood. Do at least the minimum to protect the vehicle.
