Very nice rig, well done :) Are you having any tire rubbing issues when at steering limits or in offroad situations? If I'm understanding well you are running 4.75inch backspacing on those wheels and no spacer, yes? Thanks a lot :)
I have no spacer on them and alittle rubbing on my factory rubi rail but if i adjust my control arm a tad that will fix that im just lazy but other than that she’s great at full lock both ways with plenty of room
URGENT Question - What gears are you running? 4.88 or 5.13? What is the total weight of your new tire combo and what's the actual measurement ground to top of tire? Also what width rim? are the tires 12.5 or 13.5? Sorry such direct questions, but I'm looking to order tires for mine and really want to go to 39's and don't want to change away from my 4.88 gears. I live in flat / slight hilly area (North Atlanta near the foothills) and have no problem running 8th on the highway at 70mph and only switching to 7th occasionally if needed, and still getting avg 15mpg around town and 17 to 18 on highway.
Gears currently 4:10 i need gears but not terrible i get 16-17 with the right weather around town a bit less on highway (my rig is not aerodynamic and i lose some with the fenders on highway.) hight on the ground is just shy of a 38 depending on how much your rig weighs. I run 17x8.5 i believe wheels theirs either 8.5 or 9 i kinda forget it’s been awhile but anything around that would be fine. I have a manual so no matter what you’ll have more mpg than me lol I’d say you’d be fine for the 4.88 might even get slightly better mpg these are light tires they’re like 2lbs more than my nittos were whole combo about 131lbs per corner the tires are 88 and wheels around 43 ish hood that answered your questions oh and the tires are 13.5 diameter
Im running a 38 13.5 which true diameter is 37.5. Im looking at 39s because i do not want to go to 40s yet. I would love to but thats going to cost a pretty penny. I have a ultimate dana 44 up front and running 4.88 gears. Do you think my jeep would be ok running 39s and do you know the true diameter?
@@Lynnie8764 every 39 is going to be different i think mounted diameter depending on what you run for air pressure for these is about 38”. 4.88 should be golden especially if you have an automatic and your lookig for somewhat decent mileage. I’m running a stock 44 axle and don’t have any issues your ultimate 44 should be good to go obviously if your beating it on trails though no matter axle or tire size something will eventually break just depends what you plan your failure point to be
So far holding up fine i know someone who has been wheeling his JL on 40s since he bought it in 2018 no issue with the tubes but he has replaced the shafts with that being said i would strongly suggest a truss but for dailying and mild wheeling you should be good for a bit!
@@TaskForceOffroad just bought some Mickey Thompson baja boss mats but thinking of changing them for the 39” bf Goodrich since I haven’t picked them up yet, just waiting on my wheels to come in. Do you think trussing them will help them to hold up, I don’t want to upgrade to dana 60s. Thanks for the reply
Nah the JL 44 is pretty dang strong and these tires weigh in at 87ish lbs which is about 6.5lbs more than my 37 ridge grapplers so shouldnt be too much worse than my 37s….. with that being said it will be getting trussed and gears done now
Gotta love how, even if you don't own a jeep, your videos are insightful and beneficial to all!!!!
Thanks man and as always thanks for watching!!
I know 2 guys running those. Looks great, bro. Good job!!
Dude ride amazingly! Thanks as always
Great job, especially considering you did it all without a tire machine.. the tires on the pink Jeep in the background are more my speed !
swithching mt 38 by 12.5 ridges with BFG 39 by 13.5, did you have any rubbing with the extra width? looking at -38 mm offset wheels.
Looks amazing!!!
Great video!
Hello! Did you change your axles? Thank you

I LIKE THEM ALOT BETTER THEN THE NITTOS
what has your gas mileage gone down to since the 39s with just 4.10s?
Winter time 15 ish today i hit 17.2 on my way to work in about 50-60° weather
you and nick would make a great team at a shop 😌
Couldnt agree more….. idk how much actual work would get done but it would be a blast!
Are you running 39” on stock axles? And how are they holding up?

Nah itll buff i mean it needs a regear for sure but this weighs just about the same as the 37s
8 speed trans helps alot with the jl.
@@bsideadventures2180 lol youre right it would….. if i didnt hve the manual trans 😂😂 but no a regear us on the horizon for sure
