This is why I don't get the fans that hate on the latest albums. The new style obviously renewed their creativity in a way that going on with their old style wouldn't have. The older albums still exist, and they're great, but the newer stuff is so good I for one am glad they went all prog.
I am very glad that they continue to renew themselves and experiment! I would not mind if they went back to death metal, or something along those lines. But most of all I want something "new". I haven't even bothered with bands like say Iron maiden for a very long time. While I love them, I have grown a bit tired honestly. All their albums "sound the same". I hope Opeth never goes there.
the second part of the song makes me go back to my childhood when I was not on internet and playing with my friends in streets....

Along with Next of Kin the two best songs on this album, which itself is one of their best albums (but #1 is Ghost Reveries and #2 is Blackwater Park). Good stuff.
I agree ,as much as opeths older music is epic the recent proggier music is just as good in my opinion.
